William Ragland blows 0.254% BAC after crash

26-year-old William Ragland was booked last week for driving drunk into a utility pole, causing ‘catastrophic’ damage to the vehicle and the surroundings. On April 13th, Ragland was driving a Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Highway 76 and ran off the left side of the road near Gateway Plaza Boulevard and struck a utility pole and several fences before stopping on its side. The passenger’s side of the truck was resting on the ground, while the driver’s side was skyward. The truck hit the utility pole seven feet from the ground. Ragland did not have a seatbelt on and was partially ejected from the truck. The vehicle sustained catastrophic damage, the utility pole had to be replaced, and the fences sustained about 50 feet of damage. Ragland blew a .254% BAC on the breathalyzer, and it was later discovered that he was driving on a suspended license.
