20-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Gupton Vogt was racing another vehicle on Fort Campbell Blvd as they passed by a THP Trooper traveling the opposite direction. The cars were initially clocked at 90 mph in a 45 mph zone, and slowed to 77 mph as the rear radar picked up his vehicle. A traffic stop was made at Senator Drive and Vogt was taken into custody for reckless driving.
Gupton Kelley Vogt, of Temple St in North Charleston, SC, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail, charged with reckless driving. He is free on a $1,000 bond.
What in the world does that soldier boy think he is doing out there drinking driving a vehicle at excessive speeds. He could’ve not only killed himself but someone else
as well. These people driving like their minds have gone bad or something needs a reality check. Check them into a driving education program coupled with restrictions placed upon their driving privilege. And just so that they don’t forget none to soon what their responsibility to others are give them a hefty fine as well.
