22-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Jamelin Love became violent after screaming at his wife. While Love’s wife was in the closet, he got into her face and began yelling at her. Love then turned his wife around and placed her into a headlock, causing visible red marks. She later told the police that he was trying to choke her and that she couldn’t breathe. Love was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

25-year-old Soldier Manasses Melo was found by officers at the troubled Electric Cowboy, causing a disturbance. When Officers contacted security, Security stated Melo was annoying the customers and the general public. When officers encountered Melo and began speaking with him, he was heavily intoxicated. 22-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Ashleigh Nelson was jailed on October 7th for slapping her on-and-off boyfriend in the face after an argument turned violent at his apartment on Wallace Boulevard. Mr. Emmanuel Simmons advised officers that Ms. Nelson had left his apartment after the incident. Police didn’t observe any injuries to Mr. Simmons’ face and couldn’t contact Ms. Nelson at the time, so she was determined to be the primary aggressor due to the report.

Soldier Banachek Villanueva-Flores charged with DUI after leaving Electric Cowboy club

24-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Banachek Villanueva-Flores was caught driving under the influence for the second September in a row. Officer Ventura was dispatched to Washtopia for a call regarding a possible drunk driver in the early morning hours of September 29th. As officers arrived, Villanueva-Flores was seen throwing up outside his vehicle and told them he was coming from the troubled Electric Cowboy before consenting to sobriety tests and performing poorly. There was no proof of insurance provided by Villanueva-Flores, and he refused to provide a blood sample even after a warrant was issued and he was transported to the ER, so they held his arm down to get a sample by force. Villanueva-Flores was charged with driving under the influence and having no proof of insurance.

Soldier Austin Hagerty charged with assaulting his wife as she wants time away from him

26-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Austin Hagerty was jailed on September 8th after assaulting his wife when she tried to leave for Kentucky with their son. Kayla Haggerty told police that she and her husband were in the process of getting divorced and had been arguing constantly. To avoid arguing all weekend, she decided she would stay with her parents, who live near Fort Knox. Kayla came home from work and began packing bags for their child and herself.

Austin told her she wasn’t going anywhere with their son due to him having to get stitches removed at BACH the next day. Kayla then called BACH to ask about getting the stitches removed, which they advised could be done by an urgent care or on post at Fort Knox. Kayla grabbed her bags and began going downstairs, where Austin followed and continued telling her she wasn’t taking his son anywhere. She finally made her way out the door and to the car, where she placed her son in his seat. Austin reached over her while she was bent over and grabbed her and his son’s arm, causing them to spin out of the vehicle.
