26-year-old Corey Mcmurtry was lying on the bed on March 19 during an argument with his wife, Vivian, about finances. As the argument escalated, he told her that she made him want to kill himself, to which she replied “go ahead and do it!” Corey then grabbed a shotgun, cocked it, and pointed it at his face. His wife jumped on the bed and attempted to get the gun away from Corey, but he put the gun down and tossed her off the bed. He then reportedly picked her up by her wrists, pinned her against a wall, and screamed at her. She was still visibly shaken and fearful when offices arrived at the scene.
Corey Michael Mcmurtry of Ryder Ave in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on March 19th, charged with domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $500.
