19-year-old Brayden Michael Williams crashed at the intersection of Wilma Rudolph & Dunbar Cave Road just before 8 a.m. Saturday, and disclosed to responding officers he had consumed alcohol “the night before.” Officers noticed that the vehicle had seemingly fresh and significant damage to the front passenger side that was unrelated to the current crash, which Willaims claimed to have no knowledge of. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with underage DUI.
18-year-old James Potter was charged with underage driving while impaired Saturday night after he was driving his friend’s car, and it rolled over and crashed into a guardrail while he was picking his friend, Austin Beck, up from prom. Potter told police he lost control due to a “mechanical problem,” however Officer Nolan with CPD says Potter reeked of alcohol. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. After a stop for a blood draw at Tennova, he was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
