DUI: 19-year-old Logan Blackmon runs stop sign while speeding on Dunlop Lane

19-year-old Logan William Blackmon failed to stop at a stop sign and sped off at Dunlop Lane on the night of October 28. Officers noticed this, conducted a traffic stop, and smelled a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Blackmon. They asked Blackmon if he consumed any alcohol, and he admitted to having three beers, consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and provided a breath sample that resulted in 0.122% BAC. A subsequent search of Blackmon’s vehicle yielded an open box of beer, an open bottle of liquor, and a handgun with three loaded magazines. Blackmon was taken into custody for underage driving under the influence, unlawful carry of a firearm, possession of a handgun while under the influence, reckless driving, and an open container violation.
