Kenwood High Teacher Brandon Stewart charged with DUI
36-year-old Brandon Allen Stewart, who teaches at Kenwood High School, was charged with DUI just before daylight Saturday morning. A DUI investigation began after an initial traffic stop for failing to maintain his lane of travel. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and smelled of alcohol, according to officers at the scene. A Tennesse Titans thermos was in the front cup holder and reportedly smelled of the same liquor on Stewart’s breath. Stewart had a prior DUI charge in 2013, which was reduced to reckless driving during a plea.
Natalie Hickel charged with DUI after Cloud Drive crash
Officers found 40-year-old Natalie Marie Hickel Pratt crashed on Cloud Drive, just 12 houses away from her own, late Tuesday night. She admitted to having a “few beers” and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She initially agreed to a blood test, but once at Sango ER, she became uncooperative with medical staff and withdrew all consent.
DUI: Adam Branam crashes car in stranger’s front yard at 4 a.m.
31-year-old Adam Wayne Branam told Clarksville Police he consumed 6 tallboy cans of beer before wrecking into a random person’s front yard on Tiny Town Road just after 4 a.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to find his sports car wrecked, and Branam stated he had just “lost control.” He was visibly intoxicated and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He initially agreed to a blood draw but refused once at the hospital, stating he wanted to “delay the process,” forcing the officer to request a warrant, which was granted.
