Police say 24-year-old Tristan Hanif called 911 at 5 a.m. on January 2 to report someone hit his car in a parking lot on Polk Street, and a report was taken. At 10 a.m., two residents of Anita Court noticed their cars had been hit in their parking lot, too. A bumper was located at that scene, leftover from the crash, and the VIN was traced back to Hanif. During a second interview, Hanif admitted the he was drinking alcohol earlier in the evening and had no memory of what actually happened that night. He is charged with felony filing a false report.
Tristan Colby Hanif of Polk Street in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on January 18th, charged with false report. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000.
