19-year-old Kollin Slaughter was caught at his residence in Braxton Runs after repeatedly harassing Abigail Carlock on July 29th. Police responded to a dispute call involving Carlock and Slaughter at a different location. Officers were informed that Slaughter had left the scene before the officers arrived. When officers arrived, Carlock told them she no longer wanted any communication from Slaughter. Slaughter later returned to the location on his own. Officers informed Slaughter that Carlock did not want any contact from him, either by phone or in person, to which he replied that he understood. Later that night, while officers were talking with Carlock, Slaughter called her phone. As a result, Slaughter was issued a citation for calling her phone while in the presence of officers. Carlock then informed the officers that she later received another call from Slaughter after he had been cited, indicating that this behavior was likely to continue.
After this, officers went to Slaughter’s residence in Braxton Runs to serve a warrant on him. When officers tried to take him into custody, Slaughter resisted. He began pulling away and tensing up, preventing the officers from putting handcuffs on him. Slaughter continued to resist even after the officers managed to handcuff him, and he eventually had to be taken to the ground. After a struggle, officers were finally able to put handcuffs on Slaughter and transport him to the officer’s vehicle. While the officers attempted to open the car door for Slaughter, he kicked the door shut and started pulling away again. Despite this, Slaughter was eventually placed in the back seat. Slaughter was then transported and later charged with harassment and resisting arrest.
