APSU Officer Levi Grub charges teen with felony drug possession for marijuana during a traffic stop

Austin Peay Police Officer Levi Grubb says he observed 18-year-old Najee Brogdon driving a white Kia Optomi without headlights at 6:15 p.m. on February 27th. He conducted a traffic stop and says he immediately smelled marijuana. Brogdon admitted there was a black satchel with weed inside, and Officer Grubb found 22 grams of the green leafy goodness. He is charged with felony drug possession, and a commissioner set his bond at $10,000.

Jonathan Collier charged with felony drug possession & distribution during traffic stop

25-year-old Jonathan Collier was the driver of a vehicle owned by Maurice Stegall, who was riding in the backseat, with Tad Wilkinson in the front passenger seat. When police stopped the vehicle due to both tail lights not functioning, everyone denied ownership of a backpack in the backseat which contained marijuana, scales, baggies, and cigarillos. Collier is one of the three now charged with felony drug possession with intent to distribute, and is free on a $26,000 bond. Collier & Wilkinson work for ‘Casino Handyman’, a company owned by Maurice Stegall.

Man gives police his friend’s name in attempt to fool them; it didn’t work — Keaghan Wright arrested

Clarksville Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jessica Phillips. Inside the passenger seat, a man told police his name was Kyjuan Schambers and came within days of providing the correct birthday for the actual Kyjuan Schambers. Not one to be outsmarted, Officer Matthew Johnson realized the information was fake and as he had the man step out of the vehicle, the man fled. After a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody and admitted he was really 22-year-old Keaghan Wright. Wright had outstanding warrants for failing to appear for a prior excessive/abusive 911 call case.

Dre’von Davis charged with over a pound of marijuana after failing to move over for emergency vehicle

Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Beck says he immediately noticed how badly 29-year-old Dre’von Davis’ hands were shaking as he conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle Wednesday night. A search of the white Buick would eventually reveal a backpack containing over a pound of marijuana, vape pens, and a handgun. Dre’von Davis is free on a $20,000 bond.

$10,000 bond set for ounce of marijuana found during traffic stop — Jonathan Widney

Clarksville Police Department Officer Robert Schohn says he observed 22-yea-old Jonathan Widney speeding on 101st Airborne Division Parkway and conducted a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop for speeding, K9 Officer N. Rodriguez arrived, and Officer Schohn made Widney exit the vehicle and informed him he was going to deploy the K9 for an open-air search after Widney denied consent to search the vehicle previously during the traffic stop. Upon threat of the K9 deployment, Widney admitted there was an ounce of marijuana in the trunk. Widney was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.
