Joseph Jones gives authorities fake name; believed he was wanted for probation violation

21-year-old Joseph Allen Jones drove his light-blue Honda Pilot with expired tags on June 12th in Clarksville. After officers observed this, they conducted a traffic stop. When officers approached Jones, he told them he did not have an ID and gave them the name “Joseph Bell,” with a DOB of February 9th, 2005. Nothing returned when they ran the name through NCIC, so Jones wrote it down on paper and handed it to them. While he wrote this, officers noticed a brown and white pill, later identified as 100 mg of Gabapentin, underneath the driver’s seat and had him exit the vehicle. Officers told Jones to place his hands on the patrol car’s hood, and he started resisting until they were eventually able to detain him safely. During a search, officers found his wallet with his license, identifying him as Joseph Jones, with a DOB of February 9th, 2003. It was later found that Jones believed he was wanted out of Dickson County for a probation violation. Jones was then taken into custody for possession of a pill without prescription, criminal impersonation, and resisting arrest.
