Anthony Cerullo charged in domestic assault; attempted bathtub strangulation

Clarksville Police responded to a domestic assault call on October 9th, in which Alicia Mayberry reported her boyfriend, 38-year-old Anthony Jason Cerullo, refused to let her leave the location after she had returned some of his personal items. As she first attempted to call 911, Cerullo reportedly took her phone and returned to refuse it. He was described as “intoxicated and upset.” Management at the location overheard the commotion and contacted 911.

With police now present, Alicia Mayberry also reported a domestic assault that occurred a few days prior when she traveled to Columbia for a real estate listing, and Cerullo wanted her home by 6 p.m. She returned home at 7:30 p.m. to find Cerullo intoxicated and upset. She says she went to take a bath when Cerullo reportedly confronted her by coming into the bathroom and asking, “Bitch this is the route you want to take?” When she rebuffed him, he stated, “I can show you better than I can tell you,” and placed his hands on her chest, pushing her under the water in the bathtub, which caused her to begin to choke from the water in her throat and blocking her breathing.
