Annette Carter pulls ex-husband’s shirt over his head, assaults him during altercation

On April 20th, 53-year-old Annette Carter was involved in a domestic incident with her ex-husband, Timothy Sanders, at their Ridgecrest Drive residence. When officers arrived, they spoke with Carter, who stated that she wanted Sanders to leave because he was playing loud music all day. Carter also said that they had been arguing. Carter noted that Sanders had been staying there for four months. Officers then informed Carter that they could not make Sanders leave the house if he didn’t want to. As officers went to speak with Sanders outside, Carter locked the door and refused to open it for either officers or Sanders. Officers advised Sanders he could re-enter the home however he felt was necessary.

Officers then began walking back to their vehicles but heard fighting. Officers returned to the home and witnessed Carter striking Sanders in the head. Officers then spoke with Sanders, who claimed he found a spare key to the house and used that key to open the door. Sanders then stated he thought Carter was using something to keep the door from opening, so he forced the door to open. Once inside the home, Carter proceeded to grab his shirt, pull it over his head, and strike him. Officers deemed Carter to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 21st.
