DUI: Elmer Sanchez blows .172% BAC after hitting mailbox

On April 27th, 34-year-old Elmer Sanchez was caught driving under the influence after hitting a mailbox at a Thrasher Drive residence. When officers arrived, they spoke with Sanchez, who said he was driving and had hit a mailbox. Officers observed Sanchez’s watery eyes and smelled the odor of alcoholic beverages coming from him. Sanchez admitted to officers that he had had two alcoholic drinks prior to driving. Officers asked Sanchez to perform sobriety tests, which he accepted but performed poorly. Officers were unable to locate Sanchez’s license as well. Officers deemed Sanchez too intoxicated to operate a motor vehicle. Sanchez performed a breath analysis in Montgomery County Jail with a final result of .172% BAC. Sanchez was taken into custody on April 28th.

Hilary Jimenez strikes sister in head several times during altercation

On April 27th, 35-year-old Hilary Jimenez was involved in a domestic incident with her sister, Lauren Blake, at Jimenez’s Bunker Hill Road residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Blake, who stated that she had gotten into a verbal altercation with her sister that turned physical. Blake stated Jimenez struck her several times in the head during the altercation. Officers then spoke with Jimenez, who noted that no physical altercation had occurred and it was only verbal. Due to the allegations and statements made, officers deemed Jimenez to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Genesis Navedo grabs girlfriend by neck multiple times during argument

On April 27th, 28-year-old Genesis Navedo was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Candelaria Montez, at their Dunbar Cave Road Apartment residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Montez, who stated that she had gotten into a verbal argument with Navedo that turned physical. Montez claims that Navedo pushed the victim multiple times and grabbed her by the neck three separate times. Officers observed redness on Montez’s neck. Officers deemed Navedo to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic aggravated assault.

DUI: Alexis Kirk drives onto curb, blows .159% BAC after drinking at Electric Cowboy

On April 27th, 27-year-old Alexis Kirk was caught driving under the influence near College Street. Officers were patrolling the area when they noticed a blue vehicle driving onto a curb and then back onto the roadway. The vehicle proceeded to make a wide right turn onto University Avenue before officers stopped it. Officers identified the driver as Alexis Kirk. Officers spoke with Kirk, who said she had a few drinks at the troubled Electric Cowboy that night. Officers then asked Kirk to perform sobriety tests, which she accepted and performed poorly. Kirk consented to a breath test that resulted in a .159% BAC. Officers deemed Kirk to be intoxicated, so she was taken into custody for DUI on April 27th.

DUI: Ricky Rosario tells police he had two drinks at his uncle’s house before driving

On April 26th, 23-year-old Ricky Rosario was caught driving under the influence near a sobriety checkpoint on Dover Road and Paula Drive. Officers made contact with a Dodge Ram and identified the driver as Ricky Rosario. Officers observed Rosario’s bloodshot, watery eyes and sluggish behavior. Officers then asked Rosario to exit his vehicle and walk toward the patrol car to perform sobriety tests, which he agreed to. Before performing the tests, Rosario admitted to officers that he had two drinks at his uncle’s house but initially stated he had none. Officers then had Rosario perform three sobriety tests, all of which he performed poorly. Officers then took Rosario into custody for DUI on April 27th.

Jaqwan Duncan steals $3,000 & Glock 17 from roommate while moving out

22-year-old Jaqwan Duncan was caught after stealing from his roommate at a Peabody Drive apartment residence. On August 3rd, 2023, Officers contacted the victim at his apartment residence, and he stated that he had a roommate, whom he identified as Duncan. The victim stated that Duncan had taken numerous items from him. He also noted that Duncan was moving out and had left the residence. When Duncan returned, the victim saw his shoes and PlayStation 5 in a bag on the couch. The victim then stated that he saw Duncan walking down the stairs with more of his property. When The victim entered his bedroom, he noticed it was ransacked. The victim noticed he was missing $3000 in cash and a Glock 17 handgun. When the victim confronted Duncan, he left the front door, got into a black Honda Civic, and then left the residence. Duncan was taken into custody for theft on April 26th.

Jonathan Burns jailed for breaking into multiple cars at Holiday Inn in 2023

19-year-old Jonathan Burns was caught after breaking into numerous vehicles in the parking lot of Holiday Inn on Cracker Barrel Drive. On December 21st, 2023, Officers patrolling the area observed a black Mercedes sedan with a door slightly open. Officers noticed a broken front passenger window on a GMC Sierra in the area. Proceeding this, three black individuals fled toward the Mercedes and fled at high speed. Officers also located a Chevy Silverado with a broken rear driver window. The owner of the GMC, Randall Hagenbuch, spoke with officers and stated that several credit/debit cards and $1,300 cash were missing from his truck. Officers then spoke with Lucas Wesley, the owner of the Silverado, who stated that his HP laptop was missing from his vehicle.

On February 22nd, 2024, Officers spoke with a detective from Murfreesboro who stated that on December 27th, 2023, he arrested Burns, who was in a black Mercedes Benz whose tags were reported stolen by Shakella Duncan out of Nashville on December 20th, 2023. On February 28th, 2024, Officers traveled to Murfreesboro, spoke with investigators, and were provided with the downloaded data seized from Burns’s cell phone. The phone’s location history showed burns to have been in Clarksville, specifically on Cracker Barrel Drive, when the crime had been committed on December 21st, 2023. Officers attempted to interview Burns, but he claimed he had never been to Clarksville. Burns was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.

Former Clarksville Police Officer Demetrius Harris dislocates estranged wife’s shoulder

On April 22nd, 30-year-old Former Clarksville Police Officer Demetrius Harris was involved in a domestic incident with his estranged wife, Damaris Garcia, at a Concord Drive apartment residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Garcia, who claimed that Harris assaulted her in the living room above her apartment. Garcia claimed that Harris came over to her residence and began arguing with her, pushing her twice. She claimed that she had fallen on the ground after the second push. Garcia then claimed that Harris had grabbed her arms and began punching them. During this struggle, Garcia’s shoulder had dislocated, and she was unable to use it. Garcia told officers that Harris had strangled her, but she managed to kick him off and escape. Officers observed the bruising on her shoulder and deemed Harris to be the primary aggressor. Harris was taken into custody for domestic aggravated assault on April 23rd.

Brett Hinds breaks conditions of release, assaults girlfriend during argument

On April 24th, 36-year-old Brett Hinds was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Savvanah Stephenson, at a Palmyra Road residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they heard a man and a woman yelling in the basement of the home. Officers then made a loud and clear announcement to open the door due to the screaming. The woman then shouted, “No!” prompting officers to kick the door down and separate the two. Officers then identified Stephenson and Hinds before speaking with Stephenson, who stated that she was in fear for her life. Stephenson stated that if officers did not enter, she felt she would have been assaulted more than she already was. Officers then noticed the marks on her inner arm and then the bruising on her left foot. Officers confirmed that there were active conditions of release in place that prohibited the two from having any contact with one another. Officers then spoke with Hinds, who stated that nothing physical had occurred between the two and an assault did not take place. Officers deemed Hinds to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for aggravated assault and contempt on April 26th.

Calvert Nurse spits on police officer after altercation with stepson

On April 21st, 61-year-old Calvert Nurse was involved in a domestic altercation with his stepson, Christopher Morton, at his Wheatfield Lane residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with Nurse and Morton, who were inside. The two were still arguing about Morton leaving. As officers walked Morton out of the home, Nurse spat on an officer’s arm and Morton’s chest. Officers then took Nurse into custody, and he was charged with domestic assault and simple assault against a first responder.

DUI: Tina Ward flees accident on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, lies about vehicle being hers

On November 17th, 2021, 56-year-old Tina Ward was seen fleeing the scene of an accident near Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. When officers arrived on the scene, they came in contact with the victim, who provided a picture of the driver and the license plate of the vehicle that left the scene. Before Ward left the scene, she told the victim that her name was Tina Ward, and she didn’t have insurance, nor was the vehicle hers. Officers then pulled the vehicle’s information, finding the owner to be Tina Ward. Officers showed the victim a photo of Tina and identified her as the driver who left the scene. Tina Ward was taken into custody on April 21st, 2024, and was charged with DUI exercising due care, driving on a suspended license, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Annette Carter pulls ex-husband’s shirt over his head, assaults him during altercation

On April 20th, 53-year-old Annette Carter was involved in a domestic incident with her ex-husband, Timothy Sanders, at their Ridgecrest Drive residence. When officers arrived, they spoke with Carter, who stated that she wanted Sanders to leave because he was playing loud music all day. Carter also said that they had been arguing. Carter noted that Sanders had been staying there for four months. Officers then informed Carter that they could not make Sanders leave the house if he didn’t want to. As officers went to speak with Sanders outside, Carter locked the door and refused to open it for either officers or Sanders. Officers advised Sanders he could re-enter the home however he felt was necessary.

Officers then began walking back to their vehicles but heard fighting. Officers returned to the home and witnessed Carter striking Sanders in the head. Officers then spoke with Sanders, who claimed he found a spare key to the house and used that key to open the door. Sanders then stated he thought Carter was using something to keep the door from opening, so he forced the door to open. Once inside the home, Carter proceeded to grab his shirt, pull it over his head, and strike him. Officers deemed Carter to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 21st.

Hector Esparza grabs girlfriend by hair, slams her on ground during argument

On April 22nd, 32-year-old Hector Esparza was involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Tania Rangel, at an Oak Lane residence. Officers spoke to Rangel, who informed officers that she and Esparza had been arguing all day up to the incident. Rangel stated that after a neighbor left, Esparza started yelling at her and threatening to beat her up. This led to Rangel following that up, saying he would not touch her. Esparza bounced up from the couch and threw a pillow off the couch. This led Rangel to believe that Esparza would attack her, so she threw a dish at him to keep him from hitting her. According to Rangel, they continued to argue until Esparza picked her up by the hair and tried to hit her. Rangel told officers that when she tried to defend herself, Esparza slammed her into the ground. Rangel said she took that opportunity to get away and call the police. When law enforcement came into contact with Esparza, he stated that he was sitting on the couch arguing when Rangel threw a dish at him and hit him on his head. Esparza then admitted that he went to grab Rangel by her hair and hit her because she hit him with a ceramic dish. Officers deemed Esparza to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Soldier Dayne Coriz found drunk & asleep in Whataburger drive-thru

28-year-old Soldier Dayne Coriz was seen sleeping in a Whataburger drive-through near Fort Campbell Boulevard on April 21st. When officers arrived on the scene and made contact with Coriz’s vehicle, they immediately noticed the smell of alcohol and an open beer can in the center console. Officers then asked Coriz to perform sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Coriz was then taken into custody. When officers searched his vehicle, they found an open beer can and several empty beer cans throughout the car. Coriz was charged with DUI and driving with an open container of alcohol on April 22nd.

Letoya Vaughn points gun at woman during argument at friend’s house

On April 21st, 38-year-old Letoya Vaughn was seen assaulting someone near a Needmore Apartment residence. When officers spoke with the victim over the phone, she advised officers that Vaughn was swinging a gun at her. Officers also spoke with a juvenile at the residence who stated that Vaughn was in the house with a gun and two females were fighting. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim, who said that Vaughn had come over to her residence and began arguing with her. The victim stated that she then began arguing back against Vaughn. The victim then claimed that she went to the closet to get her shoes, and when she came back, Vaughn had a weapon and was pointing it in her direction. The victim stated that a witness took the gun from Vaughn’s hands and showed officers photo evidence of this.

Officers then made contact with Vaughn, who stated that she had come to her friend’s house, and while there, the victim had tried to start a fight with her. Vaughn then says that when the victim went into the closet, She ran to her car to grab her revolver. Vaughn denied pointing it toward the victim and that the victim ran at her before a witness stopped her. Officers then spoke with witnesses who corroborated that both of them were fighting. Officers then watched a video recording of the two females after the gun was removed, and it only showed the victim running toward Vaughn. Officers deemed Vaughn to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody for aggravated assault.

Justin Hickey kicks officer in stomach after being kicked out of Electric Cowboy

On April 21st, 31-year-old Justin Hickey was seen trespassing at the troubled Electric Cowboy near North Riverside Drive. When officers arrived, they spoke with Hickey, who was asked to leave. Hickey told police that he was not going to leave. Due to staff telling him to leave and Hickey refusing, he was taken into custody for criminal trespass. When officers attempted to put Hickey in the back of the vehicle, he anchored himself against the frame of the car, resisting officers. Officers then picked Hickey up by his arms and feet to place him in the back of the vehicle. During this scuffle, Hickey kicked an officer in the stomach three times. Hickey was charged with simple assault on a first responder, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass.

DUI: Destinee Estabrook nearly hits police car while swerving between lanes on Ashland City Road

On April 20th, 28-year-old Destinee Estabrook was spotted driving under the influence near Ashland City Road. Officers observed Estabrook’s vehicle swerving lanes before she hit an officer’s car. The officers turned around after being hit and approached Estabrook, who was seen stumbling out of her car. Estabrook admitted to the officers that she had been drinking that night. The officers immediately noticed her bloodshot eyes and the smell of alcohol on her breath and asked if she consented to a sobriety test, which she refused. Then, Estabrook was taken into custody for DUI and was brought to Sango ER Hospital. While in the parking lot of Sango ER Hospital, Estabrook slipped out of her cuffs and resisted when officers attempted to put them back on. She proceeded to kick officers while in the back of their vehicle and once more outside of Montgomery County Jail. Estabrook was charged with Simple assault against a first responder, DUI, resisting arrest, and driver’s implied consent to tests on April 21st.

Siobhan Torres slams door on roommate during altercation

On April 20th, 24-year-old Siobhan Torres was involved in a domestic incident with her roommate, Talia Ali, at their apartment residence on Trenton Road. When officers arrived, they spoke with Talia Ali, who stated that she and Torres had verbally argued about her property. Ali then said that she tried to bring her items inside of the apartment that had been placed outside. However, when Ali did this, Torres quickly attempted to slam the door, causing it to hit her. Ali noted that it was deliberate, and she felt assaulted. Torres was identified to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

On April 20th, 55-year-old Crosby Haney was seen yelling at his neighbors at his Power Street residence. When officers arrived, they spoke with Haney’s neighbors, who advised them that Haney was walking up and down the street yelling and saying inappropriate things. Officers then spoke with Haney, sitting in his front yard, and explained that they had been in the area 3 times for him. Officers also explained that he needed to quiet down, or he could be charged with disorderly conduct. Haney started yelling again and threw his phone in the air before being told to quiet down again. Haney then started yelling more, and officers took him into custody for disorderly conduct.

Christopher Bass forcibly pushes wife, attempts to destroy her computer during altercation

On April 20th, 27-year-old Christopher Bass was involved in a domestic incident with his wife, Shelbi Bass, at their Kendra Court North residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Christopher, who stated that he and his wife had a verbal altercation. Christopher also claimed that when the altercation began, he grabbed his daughter and left, saying he would stay at his parent’s house.

Officers then spoke with Shelbi, who stated that Christopher woke her up and said he would break into her upstairs computer. Shelbi followed Christopher upstairs, and Christopher attempted to kick and break the glass of her computer. Shelbi then claims that Christopher grabbed her and pushed her against the wall, pinning her between her L-shaped desk and the wall. Shelbi then mentioned that she began crying and asked Christopher to leave her alone before he forcibly pushed her to the floor. Officers deemed Christopher to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.
