24-year-old Jose Reyes was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend at the Parkview Place Apartments on Ringgold Road on December 10th. The dispute started when an argument over the care of their children turned physical. During the argument, Reyes’s girlfriend accidentally touched his chin, and Reyes retaliated by slapping her, leaving cuts with blood below her right ear. Reyes was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
23-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Arctavious Clark pushed and fought his wife during a verbal altercation on October 25th. Clark did so while his wife tried to leave their Ringgold Road home, which left scratches on her face and arms. She told officers that Clark finally left when she called 9-11. When officers approached Clark, he said there was no altercation, and he didn’t understand how she got those scratches. Clark was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
43-year-old Wendy Ellis was jailed on March 23 after allegedly slapping her husband, Patrick Gormley in the face while he was in bed at their home on Ringgold Road. Ellis and her husband had been drinking and arguing before the incident and she claimed it was strictly a verbal argument.
24-year-old Abigail Browning was charged with domestic assault on January 16th after her husband, Naizjal Quarles, reported to police that she pushed him on his shoulders multiple times. The two were reportedly in a verbal altercation that led up to the assault.
On March 29th, James Ball says he was outside of his apartment on Ringgold Road when he was approached by his neighbor, 44-year-old Daryl Coates. Coats reportedly pushed and poked Ball on his shoulder, arms, and chest, while threatening bodily harm. A complaint was taken, and an arrest warrant was issued, charging Coates with assault. Coates was served with the outstanding warrant on May 17th.
Officers observed 24-year-old Jazzmin Harwood cross the center line several times while driving her black SUV on 101st Airborne Parkway, driving in an “erratic manner” according to an arrest warrant. As officers conducted a traffic stop they reported the smell of alcohol coming from her and the vehicle. She was described as “disorganized and unable to follow instructions”. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
20-year-old Selwyn-Lee Thompson told police his roommate, Marquis Jackson, assaulted him in the Waffle House parking lot when he refused to immediately take him home. As police investigated and arrested Jackson, they noticed that Thompson seemed extremely intoxicated, noting he was only 20-year-old. They also arrested Thompson, charging him with underage drinking. He admitted to drinking “4-5 beers”.
