Michael Arrington caught living in stolen trailer worth over $30,000

36-year-old Michael Arrington stole a 2022 Heartland Prowler trailer in Sumner County on June 22nd, 2022. Arrington removed the VIN from the inside and outside of the vehicle to conceal the identity of the stolen trailer. Until November 13th, 2023, Arrington lived inside the trailer at Coburn Road, Clarksville, Tennessee, and Old Metal Road, Palmyra, Tennessee. The approximate value of the camper is $31,162.85.

In addition, On December 19th, 2023, Jamie Sauers reported to officers that he purchased a 2021 28ft Fleetwood Prowler travel trailer and a Ford F150 from Arrington for $1,500. Sauers advised officers that the camper was last seen at approximately 9:00 a.m. that day, and the camper was missing from his property on Ussery Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sauers stated that he never received the truck from Arrington. Sauers also said that he heard from an employee that Arrington was going to steal the trailer back from him. When asked by officers, Arrington stated that he took the camper back because he had yet to receive payment from Sauers. It was confirmed with Crystal Bailey that she received the money from Mr. Sauers and bonded Michael Arrington out of jail with the money. Mr. Sauers told me he also gave Michael Arrington $500 to help him out. The amount stolen was approximately $2,000. Michael Arrington was taken into custody and charged with property theft, auto theft, and burglary.

Christopher Boykin steals man’s 2007 Mercury while he’s paying for gas

24-year-old Christopher Boykin was involved in the carjacking of a 2007 Mercury on December 13th, 2023. The victim informed law enforcement they were giving Boykin and two others a ride. When the victim stopped to get gas, he went inside to pay the attendant and saw the vehicle swerve off while he was inside. The next day, his car was found abandoned by Metro Nashville Police. The victim, the registered owner of the 2007 Mercury, stated that a red iPhone 12 was missing from the vehicle, as well as various DeWalt tools. On the same day the car was stolen, Boykin sold an iPhone 12 to an EcoATM in Nashville. Christopher Boykin was taken into custody and charged with theft of a motor vehicle and theft of property.

Victoria Johanns caught in Indiana after stealing rented Toyota Camry

23-year-old Victoria Johanns was caught stealing the 2022 Toyota Camry she rented from Enterprise at East Divison Street, Evansville, Indiana, on February 1st. Johanns rented the Toyota Camry on October 31st, 2023, and was expected to return the vehicle on November 5th, 2023, but failed to do so. Enterprise later sent Johanns a letter informing her that the car had to be returned by December 27th, 2023, but she never returned the vehicle. On February 1st, a GPS ping was conducted on the Toyota Camry, which showed that Johanns was at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Evansville, Indiana. Evansville PD was provided the location and were requested to locate the vehicle, which they found in the hotel’s parking lot. Officers also confirmed that Johanns had a room at the location. Victoria Johanns was taken into custody and charged with motor vehicle theft.

19-year-old Yael Arcelay jailed after stealing car, tells parents he bought it

19-year-old Yael Arcelay was jailed after stealing a vehicle on December 28th. The victim reported that her vehicle was stolen from her Needmore Road residence. One hour after her initial report, Arcelay’s father called the police to report that his son had returned home with a vehicle he believed to be stolen. Officers then interviewed Arcelay’s mother, who stated that Yael claimed to have purchased the stolen vehicle. Officers ran the vehicle’s VIN through NCIC, showing it to be registered to the victim. Officers located Yael Arcelay at his residence and took him into custody. The car is estimated to be worth approximately $15,000. Yael Arcelay has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

Brian Blalock sells imprisoned man’s car, vehicle gets reduced to scrap metal

42-year-old Brian Blalock was arrested for stealing a White 2003 Ford SUV at Oak Lane on December 6th. On October 20th, Steven Wooden was pulled over at Oak Lane and arrested for an existing warrant. During his arrest, he was told by Rebecca Ledlow, who was staying at the residence at the time, that he could park his vehicle there while he was incarcerated. When Wooden was released on November 9th, he went to retrieve his car but found that it was no longer there. During an investigation, law enforcement discovered that Brian Blalock stole Wooden’s vehicle and sold it to Jesse Brooks for 200-250 dollars on October 29th. Brooks then sold it on the same day to Mr. Gill, who sold it to Guthrie Scrap Yard on October 30th. Guthrie Scrap Yard confirmed that they bought the vehicle from Gill. Guthrie Scrap Yard also confirmed that the vehicle has since been reduced to scrap metal. Blalock knew Wooden because he had previously done some work for Wooden. The car cost more than $2500 but less than $10,000. Blalock was taken into custody and charged with theft of a motor vehicle on December 6th.

Austin Mellender jailed for felony auto theft & two handguns

18-year-old Austin Michael Mellender is jailed in lieu of a $50,000 bond charged with the theft of a 2020 Ford Escape from Rheann Vera. Officers located him inside the vehicle with two male juveniles, ages 13 and 14, on Pageant Lane with 15 grams of marijuana and a loaded .22 magnum revolver, which was also reported stolen. He attempted to flee during the arrest but was captured after a brief foot chase. A search also revealed a 9mm handgun in the pocket of his hoodie. During an interview, it was learned all three individuals participated in the vehicle theft.
