Laterris Drake caught with over 3 ounces of marijuana in his vehicle

21-year-old Laterris Drake was jailed on December 17th after police observed a vehicle speeding down I-24. The speed was locked at 81 mph in a 70 mph zone. The officer initiated a traffic stop, but the car didn’t stop and drove off at exit 8, throwing a large bag of marijuana and a Glock handgun out the window. The vehicle finally stopped at the QT gas station on Rossview Road, where he was identified by his state ID. During the search of his vehicle, small “nuggets” of marijuana were found throughout the car, and a small baggy of marijuana was found on the ground underneath, where Drake was handcuffed after he exited the vehicle. All the marijuana found, including the bag that was thrown, weighed in at 93 grams/3.30 oz. It was later discovered that Drake was charged with felony drug possession in May 2023. Laterris Drake was taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest, drug possession, possessing a weapon as a felon, and tampering with evidence.

Convicted Felon Oshae Stewart attempts to hit-and-run, caught with stolen gun

23-year-old Oshae Stewart was jailed on November 28th after police pulled him over for a hit-and-run on Airport Road. Stewart admitted to being involved in the accident, and his tags matched the tags of the vehicle at fault. When officers asked Stewart to step out of the car, he began reaching into his pocket, admitting to having a gun in his jacket and being a felon. After running his name through NCIC, it was discovered that the gun was reported stolen out of Murfreesboro. Stewart was then placed into custody and transported to booking.

Kyro Quinto swallows cocaine and regurgitates it during traffic stop

29-year-old Kyro Quinto was jailed on March 21st after swallowing a bag of cocaine when police pulled him over on Providence Boulevard and Oak Street. As officers approached Quinto during the traffic stop for an illegal u-turn, they noticed a pink baggie on the passenger’s seat. Quinto took the baggie of suspected cocaine, put it in his mouth, and swallowed it. Officers asked Quinto what he just swallowed, and he ended up throwing it back up. They tested the regurgitated substance, which was positive for cocaine, totaling 3.6 grams. Under the driver’s seat was a Glock 19, and a pink bag with marijuana. A black back was located on the floor in the second row with $1,710. There was a blue bag containing Xanax.
