25-year-old Soldier Lance Larimer was seen in a White Chevy Truck failing to maintain his lane at Fort Campbell Boulevard on January 11th. Larimer was shortly halted in a traffic stop. Upon contact with Larimer, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Larimer admitted that he consumed two beers before he operated his vehicle. The officer was prompted to conduct a field sobriety test, which Larimer consented to. Larimer had difficulty understanding the simple instructions during the field sobriety test and performed poorly. Lance Larimer was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

DUI: Kristen Gauthier tells police they should arrest her for being drunk

24-year-old Kristen Paige Gauthier had an illegal tint on her windows as she drove on Kraft Street in the early hours of January 21st. Officers noticed this, conducted a traffic stop, and smelled a strong odor of alcohol as they approached her. They observed an empty beer bottle in the backseat and asked her how much she had to drink. Gauthier admitted to having a few shots before going to the bar, where she drank more. 36-year-old Marsha Lynn Hamler, a QuikTrip employee, was driving and collided with the mailbox of a Brigade Drive home around 2 p.m. January 19th. Hamler, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was visibly intoxicated when the police arrived. She told them she was taking prescription medications due to GI surgery. Hamler performed poorly on sobriety tests and agreed to provide a blood sample before being taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Shevon Whyte found passed out drunk in Dodge Charger after hitting mailbox

28-year-old Shevon Whyte was found asleep at the wheel of his red Dodge Charger at Oakmont Drive on January 15th. When officers tried to wake up Whyte, he was argumentative and refused to answer questions. Officers observed Whyte to have slurred speech, watery eyes, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Officers noticed that when Whyte lifted his head, there was vomit on his lap and his driver-side floor. Whyte was then asked to get out of his vehicle. Whyte stated that he was at his friend’s house on Pembroke Road and admitted to having three shots of an alcoholic beverage. He then added that he was unsure of where he was and did not let anyone drive his car. Attached to Whyte’s vehicle was a mailbox post, which Whyte said he had no recollection of hitting. Whyte was later asked to perform a field sobriety test but denied that, as well as a breathalyzer test and giving blood. Officers discovered that Whyte had custody of twelve minor children, and they were taken to his girlfriend. Shevon Whyte was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

31-year-old Shane Williams was jailed after reports of a suspicious vehicle parked off the roadway on Oak Plain Road on January 1st. Officers arrived and observed Williams in the driver’s seat with the car running. When speaking to Williams, officers observed Williams to have bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcohol. Williams admitted to drinking before driving down the road and pulling over. Williams then consented to sobriety tests, which he did poorly on. Williams consented to a blood draw and was taken into custody without incident. Williams also has a prior conviction for DUI in Mississippi from April 2023.

42-year-old Maratez Tramil, an employee of Jostens, was jailed after swerving between lanes on Fort Campbell Boulevard on January 1st. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle. Officers made contact with Tramil and immediately noticed he had bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcohol on his person. An open bottle of alcohol was also in the center console. When asked if he had consumed any alcohol before driving, he admitted he had. Tramil consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. During a search of Tramil’s person, officers found a flask containing alcohol in his pocket. Tramil was taken into custody and consented to a breath sample for chemical testing. Tramil was charged with driving under the influence and open container.

30-year-old Kiara Bell was jailed after reports of a vehicle sitting at the stop sign on Reynolds Street on December 29th. Officers made contact with the car and observed Kiara Bell passed out in the driver’s seat. Bell had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her person as officers questioned her. Bell admitted to drinking three shots earlier that evening before driving. Officers noted that Bell also had watery eyes and was unsteady on her feet. Bell consented to sobriety tests, which she performed poorly on. Officers found an open and empty container of “Clubtails Margarita” and a “Hennessey” bottle cap In a probable cause search of her vehicle. Bell was read implied consent and refused to provide a blood or breath sample. Officers quickly obtained a search warrant for a blood sample. Officers discovered via a search through NCIC that Bell also had her license revoked in May 2023 and a previous DUI charge from April 2022. Kiara Bell was taken into custody and charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, and implied consent.

33-year-old Lauren Arany was booked on December 28th after officers observed her speeding on Richardson Street. Arany was going 32MPH in a 20MPH zone, prompting officers to conduct a traffic stop. When speaking with Arany, officers noticed she had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her person. Arany consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Arany refused to provide a blood sample after being read implied consent. During a probable cause search of her vehicle, officers found a metal thermos bottle that reeked of alcohol and contained a yellow liquid presumed to be beer. Lauren Arany was taken into custody and charged with DUI, open container violation, speeding, and implied consent.

30-year-old Natysha Williams, an employee of Lowes, was seen speeding in a White Nissan at Riverside Drive heading towards Highway 48 on December 30th, 2023. Officers observed Williams doing 57 mph in a 40 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with law enforcement, Williams opened the door and poured out a red solo cup, which was later found to have contained alcohol. Furthermore, the officers observed that Williams had bloodshot eyes and reeked of alcohol. Natysha slurred her words as she admitted to drinking before driving. Officers then conducted some field sobriety tests, which Williams performed poorly on. Natysha Williams was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, implied consent, and speeding.

DUI: Darricus Wilson speeds down I-24 in Ford F-150

29-year-old Darricus Wilson was seen speeding in a Black Ford F-150 at Interstate 24 on December 31st. Officers observed the F-150 approaching them at 89 mph in a 70mph zone. They then conducted a traffic stop and identified Wilson as the driver. The officers were immediately greeted with the odor of alcohol emitting from Wilson’s breath. During the conversation, Wilson was also unable to provide proof of insurance. Wilson was then asked to perform some Standard Field Sobriety Tests, which he consented to. Before they started, Wilson admitted that he had consumed a muscle-relaxing pill about 4-6 hours prior. The sobriety tests revealed multiple indicators of impairment. A search of Wilson’s vehicle revealed a loaded handgun in the center console of his car. Officers read Implied Consent to him and requested him to provide a blood sample, but he refused. Officers acquired a search warrant for a blood sample and upon arrival at Sango ER, Wilson verbally refused to provide a blood sample. Wilson was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while under the influence, speeding, no insurance, implied consent, and tampering with evidence.

31-year-old Clint Larsen was jailed on December 15th after rear-ending a K9 police vehicle on Merchants Boulevard with his white F-350. He was then taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. He later made a spontaneous utterance that he only had two beers before driving. A search of the vehicle yielded a Ruger handgun in the driver’s side door within arms reach and an empty beer can in the back seat. Police approached the driver of the blue Kia Optima and noticed the engine was running, keys were still in the ignition, and the vehicle smelt like marijuana. When the officers asked Barretta if he was okay, he explained that he was waiting for his wife, who was shopping in the area. Barretta told police that he had gone to the smoke shop to buy a Delta9 vape. Police searched his vehicle and found a THCA diamond preroll wrapper. He admitted to drinking a few hours ago and smoking a vape that he bought. He agreed to perform sobriety tests and showed indicators of being under the influence. Barretta was taken into custody and transported to booking.

25-year-old Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar was seen drunk in a Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru on Dover Crossing Road in the early morning of December 20th. The caller advised law enforcement that Mendoza-Aguilar was intoxicated and acting hostile towards them. While officers arrived, Mendoza-Aguilar left in a blue Nissan and turned north toward Fort Campbell Boulevard. Officers saw the vehicle, followed it, and conducted a traffic stop. When officers came into contact with Mendoza-Aguilar, they observed that he was inebriated. He was very aggressive and refused to leave his vehicle but later complied. Once Mendoza-Aguilar exited the car, he told them he was returning from the troubled Electric Cowboy. Mendoza-Aguilar said he had consumed two beers there before driving. He was shortly asked to perform some field sobriety tests, which were executed poorly. Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

27-year-old Daron Haynesworth was booked on December 19th after police pulled over a gray Hyundai with an expired registration. Officers requested backup when they observed the driver swerve off the roadway at Crossland Avenue and Thompkins Lane. Once backup arrived, officers approached Daron, who was having difficulty forming sentences and had glossy eyes. The officers searched his vehicle and discovered an empty 16 oz beer can in a grocery bag under the seat and another unopened 16oz can of beer. This is Daron’s first DUI. Haynesworth was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

DUI: Joseph Schmitt kicked out of Mike’s Bar for being too drunk, tries to drive himself home

60-year-old Joseph Schmitt was being drunk and aggressive at Mike’s Bar and Grill on Lowes Drive on December 20th. The bar owner’s daughter asked Schmitt to leave due to his high level of intoxication. Schmitt was advised to get a ride home, but while he waited for his driver to arrive, he drove away in his car instead. Officers conducted a traffic stop once he got onto Tiny Town Road. Officers already knew that Schmitt was intoxicated from a complaint they received from the grill. Once Schmitt was asked to perform field sobriety tests, he exhibited several other clues that confirmed that he was inebriated. During a probable cause search of Schmitt, a handgun was found between the driver’s seat and the middle console. Mr. Schmitt was charged with his 1st DUI and possession of a firearm under the influence.
