Yada’s food permit in danger of being revoked, per state inspector

A state health inspector says the food service permit for Yada on Franklin is in danger of being revoked and has issued a warning letter and scheduled a revocation intervention meeting with stakeholders. During a routine inspection on Tuesday, it was noted the troubled downtown venue had third-consecutive violations on some categories, including three-week-old sauces and expired tomato soup — of which a combined twenty pounds was embargoed from public consumption. For the second consecutive inspection, Yada also had a contaminated surface violation, specifically a live insect crawling on ready-to-use lids and no chlorine in the dish machine. Aevorie Moss punches ex-girlfriend’s TV after being broken up with

32-year-old Aevorie J’Mar Moss had a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Kalynn Ellis, at the Ballygar Apartments on October 20th. Ellis stated they argued, and the argument ended with Moss leaving the apartment. Before Moss left, he grabbed the door, turned around, and asked her again if it was over. She replied yes. Moss then cocked back and punched the television in the living room. She stated his unusual behavior put her in fear of the altercation escalating. Officers observed the damaged Roku TV, and Moss was taken into custody on December 9th for vandalism.

DUI: Brittany Russell found asleep behind the wheel with an open container of alcohol

32-year-old Brittany Nicole Russell was found asleep behind the wheel of her vehicle at the intersection of 101st Airborne & Peachers Mill Road just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrived and placed the vehicle in park before waking her up. She was able to exit the vehicle but stumbled and was unsteady when standing. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI. Officers say she also had an open container of alcohol in the center cup holder.
