Travon Hatcher strangles, threatens to kill woman who wouldn’t have sex with him

25-year-old Travon Hatcher was booked for threatening to kill a woman who wouldn’t have sex with him. Shania Bibby advised that on December 21st, she and Travon had met at her car with the intent of having sex. Shania stated that she then changed her mind and tried to leave the backseat where she was sitting with Travon. Travon grabbed her, pulled her back into the car, and strangled her. Travon held her down with one hand wrapped around her throat until she could not breathe. Shania feared for her life after Travon stated that he would shoot her with the pistol he had in the center console. He then finally let her go, and she ran into the house. Shania showed officers security footage showing the time she entered her home on Fugi Lane. Officers found Travon on Flat Rock Road, where he admitted that he went to Fugi Lane intending to have sex with Shania but stated no assault occurred. Officers noted that they reviewed text messages from Shania from the day after the alleged incident, and the messages had no mention of an assault. Despite this, officers determined Travon Hatcher to be the primary aggressor and charged him with aggravated assault on December 24th.

Soldier Matthew Houston strangles wife during argument, tells police he “snapped”

33-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Matthew Houston was jailed on December 24th after assaulting his wife at their home on Parkview Court. Leandra Welch told police that she and her husband were arguing when he pushed her into a wall and strangled her to the point that she couldn’t breathe. Officers observed a red mark on each side of her neck and redness on her face. Mr. Houston stated that he “snapped” during an argument with his wife. He admitted to pushing her, wrestling her to the ground, and slapping her in the face. Houston was determined to be the primary aggressor, was taken into custody, and charged with aggravated assault.

Dorothea Thurmond tries to stab husband multiple times for not letting her drive while drunk

45-year-old Dorothea Thurmond was jailed for assaulting her husband on Christmas after they had gotten into an argument about her attempting to drive while drunk. Frank Ehigie told police he tried to stop Dorothea by hiding her phone. Dorothea became progressively more upset and began hitting Frank. Frank said his wife even grabbed a knife and tried to stab him before he took the knife and hid it from her as well. According to Frank, Dorothea was slumped over, so he helped her to the couch, but she rolled off onto the floor. She then got off the floor and grabbed another knife in an attempt to stab Frank again. Frank took and hid that knife as well. After hiding the knives, he decided to separate himself from Dorothea by going outside and calling family members. When police spoke with Dorothea, she advised that Frank was hitting her and pushed her to the ground, where she hit her face, which was why she grabbed a knife. Police determined Dorothea to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody. Dorothea was charged with aggravated assault.

19-year-old Antario Hyrne threatens woman with gun, shoots uninvolved bystander

19-year-old Antario Jameer Hyrne unintentionally shot a random person in a parking lot on Washington Street on December 9th. Officers arrived and observed Jalen Lewis with a gunshot wound and spoke with Jordan Lopez, an acquaintance of Hyrne’s, who advised that during an argument between her and Hyrne, he pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it in her direction. After a struggle ensued between Hyrne and another individual, the gun was fired, injuring Lewis, an uninvolved bystander. Several witnesses and video footage confirmed her statement. Hyrne was taken into custody on December 13th for aggravated assault.

James Leach strangles coworker while on smoke break at LX Pantos

29-year-old LX Pantos employee James Leach was involved in an altercation with Deborah Rifkin on December 7th. The dispute started when Leach came behind Rifkin while she was on a smoke break and, wrapped his arms around her from behind, and began to strangle her. Rifkin told law enforcement she could not speak during the incident and later developed hoarseness throughout her shift due to the strangulation. Officers observed that Rifkin did have a raspyness in her voice. Coworkers reported that she sounded fine at the start of her shift, but when she was about to leave, it sounded like she was losing her voice.

LX Pantos provided law enforcement video footage of what happened outside the employee entrance. Leach approached Rifkin from the front and opened his jacket. He then steps around the left side of her and positions himself behind her, wraps his right arm under her right arm, wraps his left arm over her left shoulder and around her neck. In the video, his left hand was visibly proximate to Riskin’s right shoulder. Rifkin appears to struggle; she leans forward, Leach leans forward with her, and then she appears to break free suddenly. Leach was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault on December 12th.

Travis Little drunkenly threatens uncle with handgun during argument

39-year-old Travis Little was involved in an altercation with his uncle, Terry Reed, at Abby Creek Drive on December 11th. The conflict started with an argument that escalated to Little walking to his apartment and returning with a handgun. Little proceeded to point the firearm at Reed. Little then left but returned once law enforcement arrived. He returned visibly intoxicated with a handgun in his pocket. When questioned about the situation that happened earlier, Little said that he never pointed the gun at Reed but admitted that he had been drinking. During a search of Little, the officer located a pair of metal knuckles. Little was charged with aggravated domestic assault, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and prohibited weapons.

27-year-old Santasia Qasid was involved in a domestic altercation with her husband at the Parc at Clarksville Apartments on Needmore Road. Her husband talked to law enforcement on December 12th, stating that Qasid hit him and tried to choke him over an argument with money, causing a small scratch on the lower portion of his neck on December 11th. Joseph Lowe wakes up in bad mood, kicks wife in head during argument

65-year-old Joseph Lowe was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Regina Louder, at Gracey Avenue on December 12th. Ms. Louder advised Lowe woke up in a bad mood that morning, leading to him and Louder arguing over reasons. During one of the arguments, Lowe kicked her in the head. As that same argument went on, Lowe grabbed Louder by the throat, attempting to choke her. He then went on to hit her in the face two times, which caused her left cheek to swell. When law enforcement spoke with Lowe, he said that they did argue, but no physical violence happened. Lowe was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic violence.

Bryan Hite threatens woman with hammer after she tells him to “keep the noise down”

57-year-old Bryan Hite was involved in an altercation with Iyajnah Williams at Golf Club Lane on December 12th. Williams sent a text message to Hite and asked him to “keep the noise down.” She stated that around 6:41 p.m., Hite approached her residence and began yelling at her with a hammer in his hand, pointing it at her. Williams told law enforcement she couldn’t recount what Hill was saying because it put her in fear. The two of them were only a few feet apart during the exchange. Hite was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault. This incident continues into another altercation involving Williams and Hite 20 minutes later the same day.

24-year-old Iyajnah Williams, an employee of FedEx, was involved in an altercation with Bryan Hite at Golf Club Lane on December 12th. Hite stated that following an argument in front of Williams’ apartment, she went to his apartment’s doorstep with a knife and began yelling at him. She started to waive the knife, point it in his direction, and threatened to cut him with it. Hite said that this put him in fear for his life. Williams was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.

Kenya Knox threatens boyfriend bathing his child with knife

24-year-old Kenya Knox was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend at Memorial Drive on December 9th. The fight started when Knox entered the bathroom where her boyfriend was bathing his son and stood over him arguing with him. That was when he called Knox a “Demon,” and she kicked him. After she kicked him, he stood up and questioned why she would do that, but that only led her to get physical again. Knox then went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife, so he locked himself in the bathroom. She attempted to enter the bathroom by using the knife to unlock the door but couldn’t, so she made him believe that she was going into the living room to destroy his PlayStation console. He left the bathroom to see she still had the knife in her hand, so he attempted to disarm her by wrestling the knife out of her hand. He was able to grab the knife, put it back into the kitchen, and call 911. Knox was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

Samaria Baker assaults woman with wooden stick during altercation involving ex-boyfriend

30-year-old Samaria Baker was involved in an altercation with Kenyatta Brown and Harold Mitchell at Keesee Road on December 9th. The conflict began when Brown and Mitchell, who was in a relationship with Baker but living separately, came to pick up some of his clothes at the residence. Once they entered the home, Baker became irate and began fighting Brown by hitting her in the face with a wooden stick, causing visible marks on her face around her eyes and the temple area of her skull. Brown was able to disarm Baker and protect herself while Mitchell called 911. When law enforcement arrived, they questioned Mitchell, and he advised that he and Baker were going through a breakup; when he talked about the issue with her, he stated that she destroyed his shoes and sports jerseys, which are estimated to cost about $1300 in total. Baker was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.

34-year-old Almeco Rose was involved in a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Kira Bailey, at Wynwood Drive on December 2nd. The dispute began when Rose arrived at Bailey’s residence uninvited while she was with her friend Xavian Williams. Williams was able to leave the home before Rose could see who was inside with her. When Rose entered the house, he became increasingly agitated that he could not find who was inside, which prompted him to grab a knife from her kitchen. He then proceeded to point the knife at Bailey and said, “You will suffer!” Rose then grabbed her phone and threw it outside, causing the screen to crack. He was later arrested on the 6th. Rose was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault and vandalism.

37-year-old Anthony Conte was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Teala Goff, at their home on Excell Road on November 23rd. Conte arrived at the house and immediately initiated an argument with Goff. The dispute intensified to the point that Conte was holding a gun to Goff’s head while she was holding their baby. Conte had her cornered and told her that he was going to kill her. She told him to “do it,” and he left after having a brief exchange with her. When Conte came back, he had another verbal altercation with her that resulted in him pushing her back into the house, causing her to fall while holding the child. When she fell, the child’s arm hit the fish tank, leaving a mark on the child’s arm. This prompted Conte to leave the house again and cut off all means of communication with Goff. Conte was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault and reckless endangerment.

24-year-old Makhere Benson was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend on November 18th. She reported to law enforcement that Benson put his hands around her neck and squeezed her, which caused red markings. Officers confronted Benson, searched him, and found a Xanax pill in his hoodie pocket. Benson was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and simple possession/casual exchange. Police observed swelling to her right eye, abrasions on both sides of her neck consistent with fingernail digging, and a bruise to her upper right arm. Kevin Abernathy threatens girlfriend with gun, tells her “I’ll blow you and them!”

35-year-old Kevin Abernathy was jailed on November 19th after threatening his girlfriend with a gun on Victory Road. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with witness Jabril Fagan, who stated that Kevin pushed Lagail Smith to the ground, pointed a gun at her, and said, “I’ll blow you and them.” At that point, Mr. Smith ran outside in fear and called 911. He described the gun as black with a flash style under attachment. Police recovered a black FN 509 pistol with a laser-light combo from under a couch cushion. According to Kevin, everyone in the house had been drinking when an argument started, so he went to get his gun to leave the apartment.

Aminah Perkins punches ex-boyfriend multiple times during child exchange

21-year-old Aminah Perkins was booked on November 13th for assaulting her ex-boyfriend on Lynwood Circle. Police responded and spoke with Ms. Perkins, who stated that she and Devin Bartlett began arguing while she was picking up their children from his home. She stated that the argument escalated when he shoved her against the porch while strangling her to the point she couldn’t breathe and then dragged her through the yard. Officers spoke with Brenda Neal and James Neal, who were at the residence during the incident. They both said that Perkins began arguing with Bartlett during the child exchange and that she punched him multiple times until he pushed her away. The only injury observed was a small cut on the inside of Perkins’ lip. Due to the lack of evidence and multiple witnesses corroborating Bartlett’s story, Perkins was deemed the primary aggressor and transported to booking. Later, an active COR was discovered on file for Perkins, with Bartlett listed as the protected party.

25-year-old Annalisa Revilla was arguing with her girlfriend, Fu’Quisia Babers, on November 13th when Revilla became aggressive. Babers attempted to exit the room, but Revilla grabbed her and held her down. Revilla wrapped her arms around her from behind and wrapped her legs around her to prevent her from leaving the bed. As Babers struggled to escape, Revilla’s arms began to wrap around her neck, causing her to lose the ability to breathe. Babers began to beg for her to let go, but Revilla did not let go until she heard officers knocking on the door. Revilla was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.
