Demarrio Borum assaults girlfriend, grabs officer’s taser during altercation

23-year-old Demarrio Borum, an employee of Sanderson Pike, had an altercation with his girlfriend, Ms. Patterson, at his Trenton Village apartment on January 28th. Patterson spoke with officers when they arrived, advising them that Borum pushed her down onto her bed, placed his hand on the base of her neck, and choked her. Patterson said Borum let go, and she went to the living room to gather her belongings. Borum then pushed her onto the couch. Patterson said she left the apartment when Borum told her to. Officers deemed Borum as the primary aggressor and went to detain him. When detaining Borum, he pulled away, so officers brought him to the ground. While on the ground, Borum grabbed an officer’s taser, pulled on it, and broke the cartridge. The estimated value of the cartridge is $100.00. Borum was taken into custody for aggravated domestic assault, assault against a first responder, resisting arrest, and vandalism.

Soldier Trevor Zandt assaults girlfriend during multiple altercations

27-year-old US Army Soldier Trevor James Zandt had an altercation with his girlfriend, Mackenzie Underwood, at their Falkland Circle residence on January 19th. Underwood spoke with the authorities on January 26th due to another altercation, advising them of both incidents. Underwood stated that she and Zandt argued for most of the day on January 19th. Later that day, Zandt came up behind her in the kitchen, placed his arm around her neck in a chokehold, and strangled her. She provided a picture from the day after showing a bruise on her neck. Underwood then explained the altercation that occurred earlier that day, advising that Zandt grabbed her legs and attempted to pull her out of her vehicle. Underwood and Zandt both told officers about an unreported domestic history between them. Zandt was taken into custody for aggravated domestic assault on January 26th.

Natasha Johnson punches ex-husband, attempts to crash car during argument

38-year-old Natasha Johnson was jailed on January 18th for assaulting her ex-husband. Clifford Johnson told police he was picking up his daughter from a dental appointment. While driving, he and Natasha began to argue in the car. Natasha then threw a cup at Clifford, which hit him in the shoulder. She then threw a second cup at him, but she missed, and the metal cup cracked the windshield. Clifford told police that Natasha then punched him in the face multiple times. Then, Clifford ended up running off the road and nearly into the grass on 101st due to Natasha grabbing the steering wheel and pulling it downward. Clifford stated that Natasha then grabbed his glasses and broke them in her hands.

According to Natasha, she punched Clifford three or four times in the face, but she never hit him with the cup because she missed, and it hit the windshield. Natasha also admitted to grabbing the steering wheel and advised that she intended to damage his car. Due to their child being in the backseat during the time of this reckless behavior, it was determined that the child was placed in danger.

Gabrielle Pearce attempts to shoot ex-boyfriend with handgun during argument over dogs

25-year-old Gabrielle Nicole Pearce had an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Jacob Riihimaa, at his residence on High Point Road late January 23rd. Riihimaa stated in his 911 call that a firearm discharged in the driveway. Officers arrived, and Riihimaa told them Pearce had come by to get her dogs. He stated they argued, during which Pearce slapped him repeatedly, and then she got into the driver’s seat of her truck. Riihimaa stood outside her vehicle when she kicked and slapped him before retrieving a black Sig-Sauer handgun, pointed it at him, and threatened to shoot him in the kneecap. Then, she aimed it at his head, stowed it, grabbed it again, and fired it toward his knee. He was not struck but stated he “felt his pant leg move” when she shot it. Officers observed a mark on the driveway consistent with his statement. Pearce was taken into custody for domestic aggravated assault on January 18th.

Marianna Key charged after pointing a gun at her boyfriend and her own head

24-year-old Marianna Key was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Joseph Copeland, at West Rossview Road on January 6th. The conflict began when Joseph heard the wrench in his motorcycle jacket hit the ground in a separate room. He walked into the bedroom to see Marianna holding his gun to her head. Joseph proceeded to jump on top of Marianna and wrestle the gun away from her, which prompted her to point the gun at him. Joseph was able to get the gun in his possession, but he left the house immediately after. The altercation left minor lacerations to Joseph’s lips.

When officers spoke to Marianna, she stated that she was in the bedroom with the door closed, and Joseph opened the door with a gun in his hand and pointed it at his head. She stated that he then sat the gun down on the bed, jumped on top of her, and grabbed her throat, causing redness in her neck and chest area. Marianna, however, told officers that she never hit Joseph. Due to the inconsistencies in Marianna’s statements and the injuries present on both, officers concluded that Marianna was the primary aggressor. Marianna Key was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

Jacquilyne Allen charged after police find marijuana in home

22-year-old Jacquilyne Allen was jailed after police found marijuana in her Evans Road home. Police responded to the Evans Road residence for a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Jacquilyne Allen and Gacoby Nightingale. Both alleged that a physical assault occurred. However, officers could not determine a primary aggressor due to the pair’s conflicting stories. Nightingale alleged that Allen had punched and kicked him. Allen, however, alleged that Nightingale had thrown her down the back door stairs. Allen had bruises on her legs, and Nightingale had no injuries. While on the scene, officers noticed a bag of marijuana sitting on a table near the couch. Other officers noticed a glass bowl and a rolling tray in the living room. Allen was heard asking Nightingale if he would take responsibility for “the weed.” Neither Allen nor Nightingale claimed the drugs or paraphernalia. Because of this and the conflicting stories, officers placed both Allen and Nightingale in custody. The pair also has a prior history of domestic assault. Jacquilyne Allen was charged with contempt, aggravated assault, simple possession, and drug paraphernalia.

Michael Bertinotti points rifle at ex-girlfriend’s head during argument

30-year-old Michael Bertinotti was jailed after an argument with his ex-girlfriend, Heather Franklin, became physical at their Ermine Drive residence on December 28th. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke to Bertinotti. Bertinotti advised that he and Heather Franklin had a verbal argument in the basement of the residence. Bertinotti insisted that nothing physical had occurred and that he had left after the argument had ended. Officers then contacted Heather Franklin, who advised that she and Bertinotti had verbally argued. Franklin added that she decided to break up with Bertinotti during the argument. Franklin stated that she grabbed her handgun from the bedroom and proceeded to leave the residence. As Franklin was leaving, Bertinotti retrieved his rifle and told her that he had a “bigger weapon.” Bertinotti proceeded to point the rifle at her and put it against her head. Franklin did not sustain any injuries from the incident. Michael Bertinotti was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

Terry Roberson assaults wife after accusing her of wearing lingerie for someone else

33-year-old Terry Roberson was jailed after having a physical altercation with his estranged wife, Erica Roberson, on December 24th. Officers met Erica in the parking lot of Walmart on Wilma Rudolph. Erica noted that she and Terry are currently going through a divorce. Erica advised the Officers that she had come home from grocery shopping when Terry proceeded to go through her belongings. Terry then accused her of buying things, including lingerie, to wear for someone else. Erica stated that Terry began to get aggressive and throw stuff out of her suitcase, making a mess. Terry then took Erica’s phone after she threatened to call the police, causing Erica to fear for her life. Erica tried asking Terry to return her phone. In response, Terry grabbed Erica by her neck and broke the bathroom door by throwing her against it. Terry then left the scene, and Erica contacted the police. Terry Roberson was taken into custody on December 28th and charged with aggravated assault.

Ja’Tavious Starnes shoves baby-mama off porch during argument

23-year-old Ja’Tavious Starnes was jailed after assaulting the mother of his child, Diamond Tankard, at her Alexander Road residence on December 29th. Officers observed surveillance video of the incident occurring. The footage shows Starnes and Tankard arriving at Tankard’s home and walking to the front door. Within minutes of arriving at the front door, Starnes and Tankard can be heard arguing. Officers then observed Starnes forcefully grabbing Tankard’s phone and shoving her off the porch into the nearby bushes. A check through NCIC showed that Starnes has active conditions of release in Montgomery County, with Tankard being the protected party. Ja’Tavious Starnes was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, contempt, out-of-county warrants, and fugitive hold.

Laderrious Carter charged after brutally assaulting girlfriend, sending her to hospital

30-year-old Laderrious Carter was booked for beating up his girlfriend so severely that she ended up in the hospital on December 13th. Police responded to Tennova ER and spoke with Cynthia Lee, who advised that she had gotten into an argument with her ex-boyfriend about infidelity issues. During the argument, Laderrious began hitting her all over her arms and head. Cynthia stated that after the attack, Laderrious struck her in the head with an unknown object that caused a deep gash over her left eye. She added that a week prior, Ladderious punched her in the temple and knocked her out. Laderrious Carter was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault on December 16th.

Tawon Shaw jailed after forcefully pulling down his girlfriend’s undergarments

25-year-old Tawon Shaw was jailed on December 26th after forcefully pulling down his girlfriend’s undergarments. Police responded to Eagles Nest Lane in response to a violation of Shaw’s conditions of release. Princess Raine advised that she watched her boyfriend of two years pull into her driveway and enter her home with a key he had. She ran upstairs to the bathroom, where he approached her and pulled her sweatpants and undergarments down, exposing her private areas. He continued to pull her pants down, and she believed it was to check if she had been sexually active before his arrival. A search through NCIC showed an active COR, and a warrant for sexual battery was petitioned for. The couple has a previous history of domestic assault as well. Tawon Shaw was taken into custody and charged with three counts of contempt, two counts of aggravated assault, sexual battery, and false imprisonment.

Francine Anciso drunkenly punches boyfriend after accusing him of getting back with ex-wife

42-year-old Francine-Lessette Anciso was jailed after assaulting her boyfriend at their home on Northwood Terrace. Rachod Mildton told officers that on December 21st, Francine was drunk and accused him of trying to get back with his ex-wife. During the argument, Francine punched him in the face. Rachod restrained her at that point by grabbing both her arms and escorting her to the living room, where he left her on the couch. Shortly after, Francine went back into Rachod’s room, started hitting him in the face and stomach, and began strangling him. She also destroyed his cell phone when she threw it in the toilet. Officers observed several abrasions to Rachod’s face and abdomen. Officers spoke with Francine on the phone a few days later. She stated she was drunk and couldn’t remember what happened. When asked if she assaulted her boyfriend, she stated “probably” but wouldn’t elaborate. She stated she had several bruises from that night but couldn’t say how she acquired them. Francine Anciso was charged with aggravated assault and vandalism on December 26th.

Travon Hatcher strangles, threatens to kill woman who wouldn’t have sex with him

25-year-old Travon Hatcher was booked for threatening to kill a woman who wouldn’t have sex with him. Shania Bibby advised that on December 21st, she and Travon had met at her car with the intent of having sex. Shania stated that she then changed her mind and tried to leave the backseat where she was sitting with Travon. Travon grabbed her, pulled her back into the car, and strangled her. Travon held her down with one hand wrapped around her throat until she could not breathe. Shania feared for her life after Travon stated that he would shoot her with the pistol he had in the center console. He then finally let her go, and she ran into the house. Shania showed officers security footage showing the time she entered her home on Fugi Lane. Officers found Travon on Flat Rock Road, where he admitted that he went to Fugi Lane intending to have sex with Shania but stated no assault occurred. Officers noted that they reviewed text messages from Shania from the day after the alleged incident, and the messages had no mention of an assault. Despite this, officers determined Travon Hatcher to be the primary aggressor and charged him with aggravated assault on December 24th.

Leandra Welch told police that she and her husband were arguing when he pushed her into a wall and strangled her to the point that she couldn’t breathe. Officers observed a red mark on each side of her neck and redness on her face. Mr. Houston stated that he “snapped” during an argument with his wife. He admitted to pushing her, wrestling her to the ground, and slapping her in the face. Houston was determined to be the primary aggressor, was taken into custody, and charged with aggravated assault.

Dorothea Thurmond tries to stab husband multiple times for not letting her drive while drunk

45-year-old Dorothea Thurmond was jailed for assaulting her husband on Christmas after they had gotten into an argument about her attempting to drive while drunk. Frank Ehigie told police he tried to stop Dorothea by hiding her phone. Dorothea became progressively more upset and began hitting Frank. Frank said his wife even grabbed a knife and tried to stab him before he took the knife and hid it from her as well. According to Frank, Dorothea was slumped over, so he helped her to the couch, but she rolled off onto the floor. She then got off the floor and grabbed another knife in an attempt to stab Frank again. Frank took and hid that knife as well. After hiding the knives, he decided to separate himself from Dorothea by going outside and calling family members. When police spoke with Dorothea, she advised that Frank was hitting her and pushed her to the ground, where she hit her face, which was why she grabbed a knife. Police determined Dorothea to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody. Dorothea was charged with aggravated assault.

19-year-old Antario Hyrne threatens woman with gun, shoots uninvolved bystander

19-year-old Antario Jameer Hyrne unintentionally shot a random person in a parking lot on Washington Street on December 9th. Officers arrived and observed Jalen Lewis with a gunshot wound and spoke with Jordan Lopez, an acquaintance of Hyrne’s, who advised that during an argument between her and Hyrne, he pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it in her direction. After a struggle ensued between Hyrne and another individual, the gun was fired, injuring Lewis, an uninvolved bystander. Several witnesses and video footage confirmed her statement. Hyrne was taken into custody on December 13th for aggravated assault.

James Leach strangles coworker while on smoke break at LX Pantos

29-year-old LX Pantos employee James Leach was involved in an altercation with Deborah Rifkin on December 7th. The dispute started when Leach came behind Rifkin while she was on a smoke break and, wrapped his arms around her from behind, and began to strangle her. Rifkin told law enforcement she could not speak during the incident and later developed hoarseness throughout her shift due to the strangulation. Officers observed that Rifkin did have a raspyness in her voice. Coworkers reported that she sounded fine at the start of her shift, but when she was about to leave, it sounded like she was losing her voice.

LX Pantos provided law enforcement video footage of what happened outside the employee entrance. Leach approached Rifkin from the front and opened his jacket. He then steps around the left side of her and positions himself behind her, wraps his right arm under her right arm, wraps his left arm over her left shoulder and around her neck. In the video, his left hand was visibly proximate to Riskin’s right shoulder. Rifkin appears to struggle; she leans forward, Leach leans forward with her, and then she appears to break free suddenly. Leach was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault on December 12th.

Travis Little drunkenly threatens uncle with handgun during argument

39-year-old Travis Little was involved in an altercation with his uncle, Terry Reed, at Abby Creek Drive on December 11th. The conflict started with an argument that escalated to Little walking to his apartment and returning with a handgun. Little proceeded to point the firearm at Reed. Little then left but returned once law enforcement arrived. He returned visibly intoxicated with a handgun in his pocket. When questioned about the situation that happened earlier, Little said that he never pointed the gun at Reed but admitted that he had been drinking. During a search of Little, the officer located a pair of metal knuckles. Little was charged with aggravated domestic assault, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and prohibited weapons.

Joseph Lowe wakes up in bad mood, kicks wife in head during argument

65-year-old Joseph Lowe was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Regina Louder, at Gracey Avenue on December 12th. Ms. Louder advised Lowe woke up in a bad mood that morning, leading to him and Louder arguing over reasons. During one of the arguments, Lowe kicked her in the head. As that same argument went on, Lowe grabbed Louder by the throat, attempting to choke her. He then went on to hit her in the face two times, which caused her left cheek to swell. When law enforcement spoke with Lowe, he said that they did argue, but no physical violence happened. Lowe was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic violence.
