Former Clarksville Police Officer Demetrius Harris dislocates estranged wife’s shoulder

On April 22nd, 30-year-old Former Clarksville Police Officer Demetrius Harris was involved in a domestic incident with his estranged wife, Damaris Garcia, at a Concord Drive apartment residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Garcia, who claimed that Harris assaulted her in the living room above her apartment. Garcia claimed that Harris came over to her residence and began arguing with her, pushing her twice. She claimed that she had fallen on the ground after the second push. Garcia then claimed that Harris had grabbed her arms and began punching them. During this struggle, Garcia’s shoulder had dislocated, and she was unable to use it. Garcia told officers that Harris had strangled her, but she managed to kick him off and escape. Officers observed the bruising on her shoulder and deemed Harris to be the primary aggressor. Harris was taken into custody for domestic aggravated assault on April 23rd.

Cleveland Neal caught with 14 grams of marijuana & stolen handgun after speeding in Kia Soul

20-year-old Cleveland Neal was seen speeding in a 2012 Kia Soul on April 25th. Officers made contact and noticed a strong odor of marijuana as they approached Neal. Officers searched his vehicle and located marijuana, a digital scale, multiple torn bags with marijuana, blunts, and a handgun. The marijuana found weighed more than 14 grams. During the investigation, officers found that Neal’s handgun was reported stolen out of county. After officers advised Neal of his Miranda Rights, Neal stated that he was a drug user and that the firearm did not belong to him. This statement, however, contradicts the fingerprints and DNA that law enforcement found on the gun belonging to Neal. Cleveland Neal was taken into custody and charged with possession of a firearm during a felony, theft, marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia, no license, and speeding on April 26th.

Carlos Willis grabs wife by neck, throws her on bed during argument

43-year-old Carlos Willis was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Jasmine Willis, at their Chinook Circle residence on April 26th. When officers arrived at the mentioned location, they contacted the couple. Jasmine stated that she was in a physical altercation with her husband. Both Jasmine and Carlos stated they started arguing in their bedroom. Jasmine said, “Carlos got mad, snatched my water bottle out of my hand, and put his hand around my neck, and threw me on the bed.” Carlos told officers that the argument was strictly verbal and that he had never touched Jasmine. During the investigation of the incident, officers found that Carlos had a previous history of domestic assault with Jasmine. Carlos Willis was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

Brett Hinds breaks conditions of release, assaults girlfriend during argument

On April 24th, 36-year-old Brett Hinds was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Savvanah Stephenson, at a Palmyra Road residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they heard a man and a woman yelling in the basement of the home. Officers then made a loud and clear announcement to open the door due to the screaming. The woman then shouted, “No!” prompting officers to kick the door down and separate the two. Officers then identified Stephenson and Hinds before speaking with Stephenson, who stated that she was in fear for her life. Stephenson stated that if officers did not enter, she felt she would have been assaulted more than she already was. Officers then noticed the marks on her inner arm and then the bruising on her left foot. Officers confirmed that there were active conditions of release in place that prohibited the two from having any contact with one another. Officers then spoke with Hinds, who stated that nothing physical had occurred between the two and an assault did not take place. Officers deemed Hinds to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for aggravated assault and contempt on April 26th.

Stephanie Patterson steals $700 worth of personal items from woman’s home

46-year-old Stephanie Patterson was caught stealing personal belongings from Ms. Cotton at her Hampton Station Road residence on April 22nd. Items that Patterson stole included pictures, an answering machine, and tote bags full of clothing. Cotton’s belongings were valued at $700. When Cotton attempted to get her items back, Patterson refused to return them. Stephanie Patterson was taken into custody and charged with theft on April 23rd.

Tyson Mullins charged with 2 counts of homicide for involvement in Martin Street shooting

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Tyson Mullins was involved in the shooting on Martin Street on April 8th. When detectives arrived, they discovered two victims, Savannah Lumpkin and Glenn Nicholson Jr, deceased from gunshot wounds. While looking around the area, detectives received witness statements putting a white SUV at the house at the time of the shooting. A separate witness told detectives that shortly after the time of the homicides, a white SUV entered the Summit Heights projects with armed individuals exiting the vehicle carrying guns and a small safe-like object. Detectives were able to obtain surveillance footage that showed the SUV traveling to and from the location of the homicides. Additional footage showed five individuals walking empty-handed to the scene of the homicide and then exiting with an individual holding a black object. Video footage also showed Mullins exiting and then re-entering the rear doors of the SUV. Mullins’s cell phone data also placed him in the area and at the time of the murders. Tyson Mullins was taken into custody and charged with two counts of homicide on April 23rd.

Larry Lane pushes girlfriend on ground, takes her phone when she calls 911

34-year-old Larry Lane was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Jailah Burleson, at their Grand View apartment on April 23rd. Burleson contacted law enforcement, stating that her boyfriend pushed her to the ground during an argument. Burleson added that when she tried to call 911, Lane took her phone from her and left the apartment. She was able to get the phone back and called 911 again. Officers later spoke with Lane and asked him why he took her phone. Lane replied, ” So she couldn’t call the police.” Larry Lane was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and interfering with an emergency call.

Soldier Mathew DeMello caught assaulting adopted 15-year-old son

39-year-old Soldier Mathew DeMello was caught abusing his adopted 15-year-old son at his Alvin Road residence on April 23rd. Officers arrived and spoke with Mathew’s wife, Nichole DeMello. She explained that their adopted son got into an argument with Mathew. The victim told officers that their dog used the bathroom inside the house, so he tried to clean the mess up. Mathew saw the mess on the floor and started yelling at his son to clean it up with a Swiffer. Mathew continued to yell and get into his son’s face to the point that he puffed out his chest and pushed him with it. When he pushed him, he ended up bumping the victim’s head into a wall. The victim attempted to push Mathew away from him, which is when Nichole stepped in between them. When officers spoke with Mathew, he admitted that he knew what he did was wrong. Mathew DeMello was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

77-year-old John Byrd was involved in a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Jennie Toms, at his Trough Springs Road residence on April 21st. Officers arrived and spoke to Jennie, who stated that she and her ex-boyfriend Byrd got into an argument. Jennie told officers that their argument became physical. Jennie noted that Byrd put his hands on her neck and shook her. Toms added that Byrd was not strangling her but that he was shaking her back and forth. John Byrd was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault on April 23rd.

Justin Lehman threatens brother with box cutter during argument over work equipment

36-year-old Justin Lehman was involved in an altercation with his brother, Tyler Lehman, at their Pickens Road residence on April 20th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Tyler, who stated that around 7 a.m., he and Justin argued about work equipment in the front yard. According to Tyler, during the argument, Justin pulled out a box cutter and started swinging it toward him in an aggressive manner. To prevent anything else from happening, Tyler went back inside the house. Justin left the scene before law enforcement arrived. Officers later spoke with Justin over the phone. He stated that everything Tyler said wasn’t true and refused to meet in person. During further investigation, officers spoke with Mr. Devine, Tyler’s co-worker. He stated that he witnessed Justin swinging a box cutter knife in Tyler’s direction. Justin Lehman was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault on April 23rd.

Arthur Stafford caught after cashing fraudulent check at US Bank for $1,717

50-year-old Arthur Stafford was caught committing fraud at the US Bank on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on November 21st, 2022. US Bank manager Kaitlin Ellis contacted law enforcement, stating that Stafford cashed a fraudulent check worth $1,717.55. Stafford, at the time that he cashed the check, used a fake Florida license under the name William Vavrina. The check that Stafford cashed was written out to William Vavrina. Stafford forged and signed Vavrina’s name and then cashed the check. Arthur Stafford was taken into custody and charged with forgery and identity theft on April 23rd.

Calvert Nurse spits on police officer after altercation with stepson

On April 21st, 61-year-old Calvert Nurse was involved in a domestic altercation with his stepson, Christopher Morton, at his Wheatfield Lane residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with Nurse and Morton, who were inside. The two were still arguing about Morton leaving. As officers walked Morton out of the home, Nurse spat on an officer’s arm and Morton’s chest. Officers then took Nurse into custody, and he was charged with domestic assault and simple assault against a first responder.

Reginiqua Abel slaps roommate out of her sleep

32-year-old Reginiqua Abel was involved in an altercation with her roommate, Karla Ortega, at their Parc at Clarksville apartment on April 9th. Ortega contacted law enforcement, saying that Abel assaulted her. Ortega advised that while she was sleeping, she was awakened by Abel slapping her in the face. Ortega got up and asked Abel why she slapped her, which led to Abel slapping her again. According to Ortega, Abel continued to approach her aggressively, placing her in fear. Ortega stated that she had to push Abel to get her away. Ortega also informed officers that this was not the first time that Abel was physically and verbally aggressive. Ortega provided law enforcement with video evidence of Abel behaving aggressively and loudly. Officers then spoke with Abel, who said she didn’t know what Ortega was talking about. Reginiqua Abel was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

DUI: Tina Ward flees accident on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, lies about vehicle being hers

On November 17th, 2021, 56-year-old Tina Ward was seen fleeing the scene of an accident near Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. When officers arrived on the scene, they came in contact with the victim, who provided a picture of the driver and the license plate of the vehicle that left the scene. Before Ward left the scene, she told the victim that her name was Tina Ward, and she didn’t have insurance, nor was the vehicle hers. Officers then pulled the vehicle’s information, finding the owner to be Tina Ward. Officers showed the victim a photo of Tina and identified her as the driver who left the scene. Tina Ward was taken into custody on April 21st, 2024, and was charged with DUI exercising due care, driving on a suspended license, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Jasmine Ellis “aggressively attacks” mother during confrontation over narcotics

27-year-old Jasmine Ellis was involved in an altercation with her mother, Kerry Ellis, at their Donna Drive residence on April 21st. Kerry contacted law enforcement, stating that she and Jasmine got into a fight. Kerry told officers that she confronted Jasmine about her suspicions of using narcotics. According to Kerry, Jasmine got angry, slammed her car door, and shoulder-checked her when she walked past her. The argument continued, resulting in Jasmine punching Kerry in the face. Officers also spoke with Kerry’s boyfriend, Randewell Payne. He stated that he was in their apartment while the argument was happening. Payne told officers that as he exited the house, he saw Jasmine “aggressively attacking” Kerry. Payne then stated that he had to separate the two to stop Jasmine from continuing to attack Kerry. Jasmine Ellis was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Annette Carter pulls ex-husband’s shirt over his head, assaults him during altercation

On April 20th, 53-year-old Annette Carter was involved in a domestic incident with her ex-husband, Timothy Sanders, at their Ridgecrest Drive residence. When officers arrived, they spoke with Carter, who stated that she wanted Sanders to leave because he was playing loud music all day. Carter also said that they had been arguing. Carter noted that Sanders had been staying there for four months. Officers then informed Carter that they could not make Sanders leave the house if he didn’t want to. As officers went to speak with Sanders outside, Carter locked the door and refused to open it for either officers or Sanders. Officers advised Sanders he could re-enter the home however he felt was necessary.

Officers then began walking back to their vehicles but heard fighting. Officers returned to the home and witnessed Carter striking Sanders in the head. Officers then spoke with Sanders, who claimed he found a spare key to the house and used that key to open the door. Sanders then stated he thought Carter was using something to keep the door from opening, so he forced the door to open. Once inside the home, Carter proceeded to grab his shirt, pull it over his head, and strike him. Officers deemed Carter to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 21st.

38-year-old Isaiah Garvin was involved in a domestic incident with his wife, Naila Sousa, on April 20th. Law enforcement received an anonymous call stating that there was a female sitting at the curb asking for help. When officers arrived, they made contact with Sousa. Sousa told officers that Garvin had been verbally assaulting her daughter. She stated she stepped in between her child and Garvin to de-escalate the situation, which led to Garvin lunging at them. Sousa tried to push him away, but Garvin grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to the side. Sousa’s child corroborated Sousa’s side of events. Isaiah Garvin was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault on April 21st.

On April 22nd, 32-year-old Hector Esparza was involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Tania Rangel, at an Oak Lane residence. Officers spoke to Rangel, who informed officers that she and Esparza had been arguing all day up to the incident. Rangel stated that after a neighbor left, Esparza started yelling at her and threatening to beat her up. This led to Rangel following that up, saying he would not touch her. Esparza bounced up from the couch and threw a pillow off the couch. This led Rangel to believe that Esparza would attack her, so she threw a dish at him to keep him from hitting her. According to Rangel, they continued to argue until Esparza picked her up by the hair and tried to hit her. Rangel told officers that when she tried to defend herself, Esparza slammed her into the ground. Rangel said she took that opportunity to get away and call the police. When law enforcement came into contact with Esparza, he stated that he was sitting on the couch arguing when Rangel threw a dish at him and hit him on his head. Esparza then admitted that he went to grab Rangel by her hair and hit her because she hit him with a ceramic dish. Officers deemed Esparza to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

39-year-old Beltran Luna was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Shailiy Felipe, at their Milestone Circle residence on April 22nd. Shailiy’s aunt, Huvina Felipe, contacted law enforcement, stating that Luna had hit her niece. Officers made contact with Felipe, and she said that during an argument with Luna, he pushed her three times. After pushing her, Luna grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against her bed. Felipe was able to get out of the bedroom and call Huvina. Beltran Luna was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

DUI: Soldier Dayne Coriz found drunk & asleep in Whataburger drive-thru

28-year-old Soldier Dayne Coriz was seen sleeping in a Whataburger drive-through near Fort Campbell Boulevard on April 21st. When officers arrived on the scene and made contact with Coriz’s vehicle, they immediately noticed the smell of alcohol and an open beer can in the center console. Officers then asked Coriz to perform sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Coriz was then taken into custody. When officers searched his vehicle, they found an open beer can and several empty beer cans throughout the car. Coriz was charged with DUI and driving with an open container of alcohol on April 22nd.
