33-year-old Tyler Kuan was charged with domestic assault on May 1 after his wife, Ashlea Kuan, told police he slapped her in the face “really hard.” The two were reportedly in a verbal altercation when she says he shoved her as she was holding their child. Once she placed the child on the ground, she says he slapped her in the face really hard. When officers asked Tyler what happened, he stated, “Ask her.” The victim had redness and signs of an assault.

Fort Cambell soldier Colton May clocked at 92 mph on Fort Campbell Blvd
19-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Colton Everett May driving his Hyundai Genesis at 92 mph on Fort Campbell Blvd, where the speed limit is 45 mph. Clarksville Police Officer Darrius Robinson tracked the speed on a handheld radar and made the traffic stop. May stated he was aware of the 45 mph speed limit, but he was taking a friend to pick up a rental car. May was transported to jail and charged with reckless driving.
Fort Campbell Soldier found walking drunk in roadway at 5 PM — Daniel Casabona
24-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier with the fresh hair, Daniel Casabona, was found standing in the middle of the roadway at Cummingham Ln / Armistead Drive just before 5 p.m. heavily intoxicated. As police went to check on him they observed him to be unsteady on his feet and reeking of alcohol. Casabona admitted to drinking beer prior to walking, and police determined it was unsafe for him to continue walking on his journey due to his level of intoxication.
Luke Chowning charged with DUI after drinking White Claws & nearly hitting an officer
29-year-old Luke Chowning, who works at the Rascon School of Combat Medicine at Fort Campbell, nearly collided with a Clarksville Police officer in his vehicle on March 23rd just after 4 p.m. When a traffic stop was conducted, he stated he consumed “a lot” of alcohol and admitted he was drunk. A search of the vehicle revealed an almost empty White Claw can. Chowning was mostly unable to stand on his own and fell multiple times as he walked into the hospital for a blood draw. #WhiteClawWasted
Malik Scott charged in multiple assaults of girlfriend, Madison Gerkin, months after it reportedly happened.
Madison Gerkin called police on March 14th to report that her 19-year-old boyfriend, Malik Isaiah Scott, had assaulted her multiple times last year between August 20th and December 31st, 2021. She detailed being pushed over the foot of her bed, having a sweater ripped off her body, being strangled until she lost consciousness, and multiple other incidents she says occurred during those five months last year. Clarksville woman charged with stalking after she got a taste — Latoria Smith arrested
Curtis Wade had to contact Clarksville police after he says he had sex with his friend, 38-year-old Latoria Danielle Smith, and now she’s called him 75+ times and sits outside his apartment for hours at a time, despite repeated requests to stop calling and showing up. While police were speaking to Mr. Wade his phone was continuously receiving calls from blocked numbers, and when they arrived at his residence, they found Latoria sitting outside, where she had reportedly been for at least six hours.
Youth football coach charged in assault of his pregnant daughter & juvenile son — Dontavious Smith
39-year-old Youth Football Coach Dontavious Lee Smith (AKA ‘Coach Tay’) is charged with two counts of domestic assault after his children attempted to intervene during and after an assault on his wife. Smith reportedly assaulted and strangled his 15-year-old son when the child attempted to break up a physical assault between Smith and his wife.
When his daughter, who is pregnant, learned of the assault she came to the residence to confront him and he reportedly hit her in the face, causing her to make the 911 call. Smith had fled the scene when police arrived. He was arrested days later and is now free on a $12,500 bond.
Soldier arrested after throwing 4 pounds of brownie mix at wife — Zachary Nelson
Bailey Ledford Nelson says she hid in her bedroom and called 911 Monday night after her husband, 27-year-old U.S. Army Soldier Zachary ‘Dylan’ Nelson threw a roll of paper towels and a 4lb box of brownie mix at her. She successfully ducked to avoid the brownie box, however, it left a dent in the wall. Nelson was charged with domestic assault and is free on a $250 cash bond.
