Jhaquintes Johnson indicted in Clarksville’s largest cocaine distribution racket

22-year-old Jhaquintes Demarcus Johnson has been indicted by a March Montgomery County Grand Jury on multiple charges stemming from 2022 drug activity. On September 21, he was found with 180 grams of cocaine, marijuana, multiple loaded firearms, and more than $5,000 in cash on Shearor Street in Clarksville, along with drug paraphernalia – including baking soda, sandwich bags, a razor blade, a grinder, cup with residue, cigarillos, a pipe, digital scales, a rolling tray, and a pill bottle. He flushed drugs down a toilet during a raid that day and possessed a firearm. During the raid, he was also found to possess N-Cyclohexyl Methylone, an analogue of Methylone, a controlled substance, along with Oxycodone, crystal methamphetamine, and amphetamine.

Stevie Kelly indicted in Clarksville’s largest cocaine distribution racket

38-year-old Stevie Leonard Kelly has been indicted by a March Montgomery County Grand Jury on multiple charges stemming from 2022 drug activity. Detectives say that, along with others, he conspired to sell more than 300 grams of cocaine between July and September. On August 27, he conspired to purchase a kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell. On September 21, he was found to possess over 100 grams of cocaine and $10,000 in cash on Shearor Street, along with a microwave, baking soda, spoons, a razor blade, a rolling tray, sandwich bags, a vacuum sealer with bags, and rolling papers. He is also accused of flushing drugs down a toilet on that day, along with possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

Anthony Powell indicted in Clarksville’s largest cocaine distribution racket

43-year-old Anthony Dewayne Powell has been indicted by a March Montgomery County Grand Jury on multiple charges stemming from 2022 drug activity. Detectives say that, along with others, he conspired to sell more than 300 grams of cocaine between July and September.

Powell reportedly delivered a bulk amount of cocaine to Floyd Johnson on July 6 on East College Street in Clarksville. He also sold a kilo of cocaine to Floyd Johnson and Stevie Lelly at Verkler Drive on July 22. He then made another sale to Johnson on August 27th on Roan Drive. On September 2, he made another sale of cocaine on Fort Campbell Blvd. He also sold and delivered cocaine to Floyd Johnson in Pleasant View on September 3rd. Powell reportedly sold another kilogram of cocaine to Floyd Johnson on September 6 in Clarksville. 

On September 13, detectives say Powell possessed a kilogram of cocaine and $5,000 in cash, along with crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia such as digital scales and cigarillos.

37-year-old Floyd Rodriguez Johnson has been indicted by a March Montgomery County Grand Jury on multiple charges stemming from 2022 drug activity. Detectives say that, along with others, he conspired to sell more than 300 grams of cocaine between July and September. Johnson reportedly delivered cocaine to Christopher George Douglas Coleman on Shearor Street on July 5th. He conspired to buy a kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell on East College Street on July 6th. He then delivered cocaine to another party on July 7 on Peachers Mill Road.

He then conspired to buy a kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell and Domonique Powell on East College Street on July 14. He then sold cocaine to another person on Shearor Street on July 18. Floyd, along with another person, then conspired to buy a kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell on Verkler Drive on July 22. On July 26, he made another cocaine sale on Shearor Street to Erica Vashane Kelly, and again on August 14. Johnson then bought another kilogram of cocaine on East College Street on August 15. On August 19, he made another sale of cocaine to Christopher Winters on Shearor Street.

A day later, he sold and delivered cocaine to Shemar Wesley on Shearor Street. On August 27, he conspired to purchase a kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell. On September 3, Johnson and another person conspired to purchase another kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell and Antonio Powell. On September 6, he reportedly bought a kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell. Days later, on September 10, he purchased another kilogram of cocaine from Anthony Powell. Johnson made another sale of cocaine on September 21. On that same day, he was found to possess over 100 grams of cocaine and $10,000 in cash on Shearor Street, along with a microwave, baking soda, spoons, a razor blade, a rolling tray, sandwich bags, vacuum sealer with bags, and rolling papers. He is also accused of flushing drugs down a toilet on that day, and possessing a firearm while being a convicted felon.

Couple leaves toddler in apartment while they go to gym — William Esquerra & Nikola Eichlerova

A three-year-old’s 25-year-old father, soldier William Esquerra, & 24-year-old stepmother, Nikola Eichlerova, told police they left the child asleep in their Independence Place apartment just after 3 p.m. Thursday and went to the complex’s gym. As they worked out, the child woke up and exited the third-floor apartment, and made his way to the basketball court, where he was noticed by other juveniles who alerted an employee of the complex. The toddler was able to lead the employee back to his apartment, and the parents were contacted via phone. Security video shows them entering the gym at 3:30 p.m. and staying until they receive the call at 3:54 p.m. The child is currently staying with his grandmother in Franklin, TN.

Josephin Zapata charged in 3 a.m. assault of ex-boyfriend

24-year-old Josefin Zapata is charged with the domestic assault of her ex-boyfriend, Gavonta’e Marshall, after a 3 a.m. argument on Thursday. The two were reportedly having a disagreement about their living situation when she became increasingly agitated and attacked him. Officers documented multiple scratch marks along the victim’s neck. Zapata was transported to booking and charged accordingly.

Jerrick Begay charged with DUI after fleeing from police and going to his home

Police say 32-year-old Jerrick Begay drove into a yield sign just after 1 p.m. last Friday and refused to stop for officers who were flagging him down. A few minutes later, a unit caught up with the vehicle, which was now parked at a home on Cunningham Lane. They met with Begay, who was inside, and noticed he was visibly intoxicated. He admitted to having two double shots of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey just prior to driving. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

21-year-old Kaleb Dew says he consumed “three beers” at the troubled Electric Cowboy last weekend before getting into his truck and driving just before 1 a.m. As he drove on College Street, an officer noticed him hit his brakes hard to make a stop at a light and that his headlights were not turned on. During a traffic stop, he performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.

18-year-old Gabriel Rich was reportedly in an argument with his girlfriend, Brianna Dycus, on March 15, which turned physical once she attempted to leave the apartment with her mother. She says as she was in the passenger seat of the vehicle, he opened her door and attempted to pull her out of the car by pulling and yanking on her arm. She was able to shut the car door but sustained bruising on her wrist. As they drove away, Gabriel threw a rock threw and shattered the window in the driver’s side door.

Faith Stephens punches husband in face multiple times during argument

20-year-old Faith Stephens is charged with domestic assault after punching her husband, Aaron Braun, in the face multiple times. A witness, Tyler Squier, told police about the assault and stated she also punched him as he attempted to separate them. During an interview, Faith told police she punched her husband but did not wish to speak further about the incident. As she was being taken into custody, she began to scream and resist arrest. It took two officers to detain her in handcuffs.

Tiondra Lay discovered Hennessy Black was not her friend in Zaxby’s parking lot

23-year-old Tiondra Lay was found hanging out the side of her car in the Zaxby’s on Fort Campbell Blvd at 1 a.m. Wednesday. Officers arrived to check on her welfare and noted she was unresponsive behind the wheel with the car in drive and music blaring from the speakers. After a few attempts, she became alert and attempted to drive the car forward before it could be placed out of gear. She stated she had “five to seven shots of Hennessy Black” at her sister’s house prior to driving. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and later blew a 0.171% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Jaden Weaver continues to try to huff air dusters as he’s being taken into custody

19-year-old Jaden Weaver was found disoriented and walking in the middle of Sango Road late Monday night. As officers approached Weaver, who was wearing a black hoodie and weaving and wobbling on his feet, he was asked to empty his pockets. Weave produced a cloth, a bag, and a can of air duster. As he attempted to inhale more of the product, the officer stopped him and placed him under arrest for inhaling toxic vapors for the purpose of getting high.

Jervion Akins walks into traffic with Patrón and marijuana

34-year-old Jervion Akins was jailed on March 11th after police received a call regarding a man walking into oncoming traffic just before 1 p.m. Officers located Akins on Dover Crossing Rd. Officers first noticed that there was an overwhelming odor of marijuana and shortly after noticed an overwhelming odor of alcohol coming from Akins. When Officers conducted a search, they located 30 grams of marijuana and an open bottle of Patrón. Akins was deemed intoxicated and a danger to himself in a public setting and taken into custody.

Gerardo Lazo free on $52,500 bond after DUI arrest

31-year-old Gerardo Lazo is free on a $52,500 bond after police say he was driving under the influence of alcohol on March 14. An officer noticed his vehicle as it was traveling near Governor’s Square Mall without head or tail lights. The vehicle was not maintaining a constant speed and was weaving between lanes. Lazo, who was in the driver’s seat, would only partially roll down the window during the traffic stop and had slurred speech when he told the officer he had consumed a “tall boy” about fifteen minutes prior to driving. He refused all testing, and a warrant was granted for his blood. Once at Tennova, he refused to remain still enough for a blood draw to be completed, and he was charged with tampering with evidence, adding $50,000 to his original $2,500 bond for DUI.

Alexis Johnson flees from police and wrecks car, leaves marijuana behind

19-year-old Alexis Johnson was doing donuts in a parking lot when Clarksville Police activated their lights and attempted to stop her. She fled the area and later wrecked her car at the Speedway on Providence Blvd. She fled on foot from the car and ran behind the Speedway, and was unable to be located. Officers searched the abandoned vehicle, which was registered to Johnson, and located 19 grams of marijuana. Johnson eventually came to the police station and wrote a statement in which she admitted to driving the wrecked car and fleeing from police.
