DUI: Martina Jones drinks tequila before causing wreck

22-year-old Martina Kaylee Jones was found on the scene of a wreck with injuries; she told officers that she had a couple of shots of tequila before driving. When officers observed Jones, they noticed that she was highly intoxicated and had a strong smell of alcohol. Jones consented to field sobriety tests, which she performed terribly. Jones later consented to get her blood drawn and was kept at the hospital on a psych hold. Jones was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

Stephanie Smith jailed in online prostitution sting

38-year-old Stephanie Smith was offering sexual services with Tonya Lee Bennett in exchange for money via the “escort” website, Skipthegames.eu, as Special agents conducted a prostitution operation on October 26th.  An advertisement was in the “men seeking female escort” section for Clarksville, TN, posted on October 12th headed: “Nice Pretty Tight Pussy Ready and Waiting.” There were numerous sexual acts and a phone number listed in the ad that an undercover agent was able to text Bennett through. The UC and Bennett agreed to meet at the Super 8 Motel for a thirty-minute visit with Smith for $360.00 and an extra $50.00 to use no condom. The UC arrived at the motel and met with Bennett and Smith, who were placed into custody for promoting prostitution after admitting to the contract, posting the ad, knowing about the website, and the transactional arrangement.

DUI: Kwadwo Kyei swerves between lanes on Fort Campbell Blvd

30-year-old Kwadwo Kyei was swerving between lanes on Ft. Campbell Blvd. in the early hours of October 22 as officers observed him driving less than 20 mph in a 45-mph zone and initiated a traffic stop. Officers observed Kyei to be visibly intoxicated when they approached the driver’s side. Kyei consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and provided a breath sample which resulted in 0.117% BAC. Kyei was taken into custody for DUI, officers were also advised that Kyei had a pending DUI charge from about a year ago.

DUI: Felipe Gomez charged after swerving lanes on 101st Airborne Division Parkway

23-year-old Felipe Gomez was found swerving lanes on 101st Airborne Division Parkway by police officers on the night of October 21st. When Officer Bolden walked up to the vehicle, Bolden noted Gomez’s bloodshot eyes as well as a strong odor of alcohol. When questioned, Gomez admitted to consuming alcohol before driving. This prompted law enforcement to search his vehicle, finding multiple open containers of alcohol. Gomez then consented to a field sobriety test, performed terribly, and was taken into custody. Gomez has been charged with driving under the influence and containing an open container of alcohol.

DUI: Jonathan Love consumed vodka and “ZAZA RED” pills before driving

34-year-old Jonathan Love was pulled over on a traffic stop for swerving lanes and driving at inconsistent speeds. Officer Malone made contact with Love, who admitted that he had drunk alcohol “earlier in the day.” Love later consented to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, on which he performed terribly, and was taken into custody for a blood sample, which he also agreed to. When officers searched Love’s vehicle, they found an empty vodka bottle on the passenger side along with numerous empty pill bottles labeled as “ZAZA RED.” Per Vanderbilt University, Tianeptine, an antidepressant drug banned in Tennessee, is the primary ingredient in “ZAZA RED.” Love was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

DUI: Ashley Zachariason found drinking Crown Royal while speeding on Warfield Boulevard

30-year-old Ashley Zachariason was jailed on October 22nd after police observed her red buick going 72 mph down Warfield Boulevard, normally a 50 mph zone. Officers caught up with the vehicle as it merged onto Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. A traffic stop was conducted behind Lowes Drive, where they could smell alcohol coming from Ms. Ashley’s breath. She admitted having a few drinks earlier that night while celebrating her 30th birthday. She consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody. While searching her vehicle, officers located a nearly empty, opened bottle of Crown Royal. Police noted that after several minutes of yelling from Ms. Ashley and applying scratch marks to the forms with a pen, she was transported to the Magistrate’s office.

Garcia was visibly intoxicated when officers approached the driver’s side and admitted to drinking when asked. Garcia was arrested for driving under the influence and failing to obey traffic control devices after consenting to sobriety tests and performing poorly.

E-5 Jesus Salcido-Villar charged with DUI after Tiny Town Road traffic stop

22-year-old Ft. Campbell E-5 Seargeant Jesus Salcido-Villar was driving on Tiny Town Rd. with an inoperable headlight in the wee hours of September 30th. THP Trooper Hickmon initiated a traffic stop on a gray Dodge Ram with a driver’s side headlight out and observed Salcido-Vallar visibly intoxicated as he approached the driver’s side. Salcido-Vallar initially denied consuming any alcohol, then consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Salcido-Vallar fell asleep in the patrol car shortly after being taken into custody for his second driving under the influence offense, driving on a revoked license, and violation of the implied consent law.

Soldier Banachek Villanueva-Flores charged with DUI after leaving Electric Cowboy club

24-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Banachek Villanueva-Flores was caught driving under the influence for the second September in a row. Officer Ventura was dispatched to Washtopia for a call regarding a possible drunk driver in the early morning hours of September 29th. As officers arrived, Villanueva-Flores was seen throwing up outside his vehicle and told them he was coming from the troubled Electric Cowboy before consenting to sobriety tests and performing poorly. There was no proof of insurance provided by Villanueva-Flores, and he refused to provide a blood sample even after a warrant was issued and he was transported to the ER, so they held his arm down to get a sample by force. Villanueva-Flores was charged with driving under the influence and having no proof of insurance.

21-year-old Daequan Walton was jailed on October 15th after driving his vehicle off the road. Officers responded to the intersection of Swift Drive and Charlotte Road, where Walton stated that he was traveling when he received a phone call, took his eyes off the road as he answered, and ended up running off the road and crashing. Once pulled over, he told police that he had four drinks at the bar before driving. Police allege that Sweet smelled of alcohol, was unsteady, and had glossy eyes. He consented to sobriety tests but performed poorly and was taken into custody.

Sean Conklin, 19, says he drank at Revel House before crashing car on way home

Following reports of a hit and run, 19-year-old Sean Conklin was arrested after he reportedly admitted to drinking with his juvenile girlfriend at the Revel House near downtown Clarksville before getting into a wreck and then fleeing the scene. When Officer Keenan Driskell caught up to Conklin after the wreck at the intersection of Pembroke Place and Oak Park Drive, he stated that he was attempting to drive home, but his car stopped operating. Officers observed he smelled of alcohol and he performed poorly during the field sobriety tests. Officers also learned that Conklin was supposed to have an interlock device following history in North Carolina, but one was not in the vehicle. According to police, Conklin was drinking with his underage girlfriend at Revel House prior to the crash, which occurred at 1:42 a.m. on September 28.

25-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Braxton Wells was jailed on September 23rd after police responded to calls of a black Dodge Challenger sitting in the turning lane on Riverside Drive to 2nd Street for a few light cycles. Police asked Wells to step out of his vehicle and immediately smelled alcohol coming from his body. He had watery eyes and was unsteady on his feet. Wells admitted that he was drinking while at the troubled Electric Cowboy and performed poorly on sobriety tests. Police found a thermal mug filled with alcohol during the vehicle search.

Tawin White charged with DUI after driving on two flat tires

67-year-old Tawin White was driving her vehicle with both her passenger side tires flat and the side of her car heavily damaged down New Providence Blvd on September 21st. Clarksville Police Department Officer LaJoie conducted a traffic stop and smelled alcohol on Tawin. She said she had two drinks earlier while with her friends and was unsure what she hit with her vehicle. Officer LaJoie stated that she had signs of intoxication, she had urinated on herself, and he could not have her perform sobriety tests nor read her implied consent due to the language barrier. She was then arrested for her first DUI.

Fort Campbell Soldier Garrison Meadows crashes car after fleeing from police

21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Garrison Meadows was booked on September 2nd when police observed a pickup truck speeding down Dover Road, going 68 mph in a 45mph zone. Police followed the truck as it sped through the Circle K parking lot. This was when the police turned on their emergency equipment to make a traffic stop, but the vehicle picked up speed, leaving the officer behind on Lafayette Road. Further down the road, the officer found the truck in a yard crashed into a parked vehicle. Meadows was identified as the injured driver in the front seat. There was also an injured female in the passenger seat and an unresponsive male in the backseat. Meadows admitted to drinking but refused to perform sobriety tests and was transported to Tennova ER.
