DUI: Darricus Wilson speeds down I-24 in Ford F-150

29-year-old Darricus Wilson was seen speeding in a Black Ford F-150 at Interstate 24 on December 31st. Officers observed the F-150 approaching them at 89 mph in a 70mph zone. They then conducted a traffic stop and identified Wilson as the driver. The officers were immediately greeted with the odor of alcohol emitting from Wilson’s breath. During the conversation, Wilson was also unable to provide proof of insurance. Wilson was then asked to perform some Standard Field Sobriety Tests, which he consented to. Before they started, Wilson admitted that he had consumed a muscle-relaxing pill about 4-6 hours prior. The sobriety tests revealed multiple indicators of impairment. A search of Wilson’s vehicle revealed a loaded handgun in the center console of his car. Officers read Implied Consent to him and requested him to provide a blood sample, but he refused. Officers acquired a search warrant for a blood sample and upon arrival at Sango ER, Wilson verbally refused to provide a blood sample. Wilson was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while under the influence, speeding, no insurance, implied consent, and tampering with evidence.

DUI: Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar found drunk and aggressive in Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru

25-year-old Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar was seen drunk in a Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru on Dover Crossing Road in the early morning of December 20th. The caller advised law enforcement that Mendoza-Aguilar was intoxicated and acting hostile towards them. While officers arrived, Mendoza-Aguilar left in a blue Nissan and turned north toward Fort Campbell Boulevard. Officers saw the vehicle, followed it, and conducted a traffic stop. When officers came into contact with Mendoza-Aguilar, they observed that he was inebriated. He was very aggressive and refused to leave his vehicle but later complied. Once Mendoza-Aguilar exited the car, he told them he was returning from the troubled Electric Cowboy. Mendoza-Aguilar said he had consumed two beers there before driving. He was shortly asked to perform some field sobriety tests, which were executed poorly. Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

DUI: Jamye Thomas denies drinking alcohol before swerving into multiple lanes on Fort Campbell Blvd

30-year-old Jamye Thomas was jailed on December 26th after officers observed a gray Nissan Rogue swerving off the shoulder into multiple lanes on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Police initiated a traffic stop on Collier Road, where the driver ran over a curb. Officers could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle as they spoke to Ms. Thomas. Ms. Thomas appeared confused and had difficulties locating paperwork. She stated that she had smoked a substance but refused to reveal what that substance was and denied drinking any alcohol. Later, Thomas admitted to only smoking her vape and consented to field sobriety tests. She performed poorly multiple times and was taken into custody. When officers ran her name, they discovered a revoked handgun carry permit. When asked about the handgun, she admitted to having a handgun in the vehicle. However, Ms. Thomas advised the magazine was removed and in a separate location. A check through NCIC confirmed the handgun was not stolen. Jamye Thomas was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and possession of a firearm under the influence.

19-year-old Matthew Pitts found drunk at Walmart Gas Station

19-year-old Matthew Pitts was found drunk at Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard on December 15th. An officer observed that someone parked their car at one of the gas pumps for an unwarranted amount of time. Pitts exited the vehicle when he noticed that the officer parked their car behind him. The officer observed that Pitts was inebriated while he was walking. The officer also observed a half-gallon bottle half-empty in the passenger seat while the keys were still in the ignition. Pitts performed some field sobriety tests, which he executed poorly. Pitts was taken into custody and charged with underage driving while impaired.

DUI: Dustin Mckie-Miller found drunk in a ditch, tells police “My girlfriend was driving!”

28-year-old Dustin Mckie-Miller was found drunk in a ditch on Buttercup Drive in his Chevy Malibu on December 21st. Dustin’s girlfriend, Carly Schroeder, contacted the police and told them that her boyfriend had been drinking all day and was now driving. Dustin was found in the passenger seat of his vehicle with the keys in the cup holder. When officers spoke with him, the odor of alcohol was emitting from his breath. Dustin was asked if he was driving and stated, “My girlfriend was driving!” But that contradicted the video evidence Carly gave law enforcement, which showed Dustin leaving the driveway in his vehicle. Officers asked Dustin if he wanted to perform some field sobriety tests, but he declined and asked for his lawyer. Dustin Mckie-Miller was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

DUI: Matthew Trapp drinks can of Truly before speeding past officers

36-year-old Matthew Trapp was found driving under the influence at Fort Campbell Boulevard and 101st Airborne Division Parkway on December 9th. Officers were diverting traffic when Trapp blew past them in a Toyota sedan. Upon making contact with Trapp at a light, the officer observed an open can of Truly in the center console. While speaking with him, the officer observed that Trapp was inebriated. The officer asked him to step out of the vehicle and placed him in custody. Due to heavy traffic and a tornado touching down earlier, no field sobriety tests were conducted. The passenger in the car with Trapp, Christina Dolphin, stated that the can of Truly was his and that they were coming from a bar. Trapp was read his Miranda rights but refused to answer any questions or provide a breath sample.

DUI: Soldier Colton McNabb crashes into multiple mailboxes at high-speed

25-year-old infantry soldier Colton McNabb was booked on a citation on December 10th after leaving the scene of an accident at Rollow Lane. Witnesses stated they heard a crash and watched a male leave the scene wearing a grey hoodie and slacks. Officers checked the registration for the vehicle, and it came back as McNabb’s vehicle. The vehicle had left the roadway at a high speed, causing damage to 2 mailboxes and a fence before coming to a stop. McNabb’s vehicle was covered in mud, and the airbag was deployed, with a small amount of blood being found on the side of the bag. Near the vehicle, there was an open container of beer, and inside of the vehicle there was a strong alcoholic odor. While searching for McNabb, the officers found a man matching the description covered in mud with recent injuries to his face that were still bleeding with no shoes. Upon contact with the officers, McNabb handed over his Florida driver’s license but was clearly inebriated. He was then asked if he was willing to perform any field sobriety test, but he said no. McNabb was then taken into custody.

DUI: Robert Joyce drinks “3 rum and cokes” before driving, caught with 12 grams of marijuana

56-year-old Robert Joyce was seen driving outside of Jiffy Lube on Fort Campbell Boulevard when a call to the police department reported that he was drunk driving on November 29th. Joyce told the arriving officers that he was trying to get his oil changed, but they noticed that there was an immediate smell of marijuana and alcohol coming from the truck. The officers then observed that Joyce was clearly inebriated. When asked, Joyce said he had three rum and cokes with a shot and a half per drink. But when told to give them a number between one and ten for how drunk he was, Joyce said that he was only a two. He also admitted that he was smoking weed three hours prior and that there was weed in his car. Joyce then consented to do field sobriety tests but was not able to perform all of them due to his arthritis. The tests Joyce was able to do were executed poorly. Officers found around 12 grams of weed in Joyce’s truck. Joyce was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and simple possession or casual exchange.

DUI: Edwin Jones falls asleep behind the wheel

27-year-old Edwin Jones was found by an officer in the parking lot of Top Flight sleeping behind the wheel of a running car. The reporting officer proceeded to knock on the window for a few minutes before being able to wake up Jones. When woken up, Jones began to mumble to himself and refused to exit the vehicle until another responding unit arrived with emergency gear. Jones stumbled to the officers’ patrol car, reeking of alcohol, and refused to do any field sobriety tests. Jones was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

31-year-old Amayrani Estefania Hughes, employee at Boba Shop, was involved in a single-car accident on Dunlop Lane in the night hours of November 20th. Officers arrived and observed Hughes to be visibly intoxicated, and he admitted to consuming alcohol but was unaware of how much. Hughes refused to perform sobriety tests or provide a blood sample, so officers had to execute a search warrant.

33-year-old Geospatial Engineer Technician Juston Silcox was jailed on September 16th after police observed a gray pickup truck speeding down Fort Campbell Boulevard. Silcox was driving 63 mph in a 45 mph zone. His eyes were watery, and he had thrown up on himself. He told officers he had two alcoholic drinks and consented to sobriety tests. He performed poorly and was taken into custody. When officers searched his vehicle, they observed vomit all over the inside and outside of the car door.

DUI: Lauren Elizabeth Pipkin says she drank and took Rx meds before crashing into fence

33-year-old Lauren Pipkin was jailed on August 10th after police responded to a caller that observed a red Buick Enclave hit a fence, go the wrong way around a roundabout, drive through the grass, and park in a parking spot with the driver slumped over the wheel. When police arrived, Pipkin was still in the driver’s seat with the key inside the vehicle. She slurred her speech as she admitted to drinking alcohol and using prescription medication before driving. Police found an almost empty bottle of vodka in her passenger’s seat and asked her to consent to sobriety testing. She performed poorly and was transported to Sango ER for a blood draw.

DUI: Jessica Oliver drove thru a police investigation scene while drunk

29-year-old Jessica Oliver was jailed on May 21st after she drove onto the scene of an unrelated crash while drunk. Police were investigating a crash at Tiny Town and Little Bobcat Lane when Oliver slowly rolled her gray Dodge Challenger on the scene. She had slurred speech and glossy eyes. When she was asked to exit her vehicle, she stumbled. Oliver consented to field sobriety tests and performed poorly. During a search of her vehicle, a plastic bag of 1.82 grams of marijuana was found on the passenger’s side.

DUI: Tyler Feightner drunkenly drives onto sidewalk, passed out behind wheel

31-year-old Tyler Feightner drove his truck onto a sidewalk at a Royster Lane apartment complex just after 4 p.m. on March 20. Residents noticed he was passed out behind the wheel of the running vehicle, and officers arrived on the scene. Multiple sternum rubs awakened Feightner, though he was still unable to speak, stand, or have any idea of where he was — he eventually told officers he was in Nashville and on his way to Clarksville. There was an empty Four Loko bottle in the cup holder, and he told officers he had “two beers about two hours ago” when asked. He refused field sobriety tests and told officers he would fight if they tried to draw his blood. A warrant was granted, and blood was taken.

Gerardo Lazo free on $52,500 bond after DUI arrest

31-year-old Gerardo Lazo is free on a $52,500 bond after police say he was driving under the influence of alcohol on March 14. An officer noticed his vehicle as it was traveling near Governor’s Square Mall without head or tail lights. The vehicle was not maintaining a constant speed and was weaving between lanes. Lazo, who was in the driver’s seat, would only partially roll down the window during the traffic stop and had slurred speech when he told the officer he had consumed a “tall boy” about fifteen minutes prior to driving. He refused all testing, and a warrant was granted for his blood. Once at Tennova, he refused to remain still enough for a blood draw to be completed, and he was charged with tampering with evidence, adding $50,000 to his original $2,500 bond for DUI.

Leah Hughes charged with driving under the influence, violation of bond conditions

Deputies received a call just before midnight on January 24 about a suspected drunk driver. Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, 37-year-old Leah Hughes. She was reportedly slow with her motor functions and had slurred speech. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI. At the time of her arrest, Hughes was out on bond, of which a condition disallowed her from consuming alcohol. Several containers of alcohol were discovered in her vehicle.

Nicholas Pietka found unconscious behind wheel of car at Hobby Lobby after using drugs

Officer Donta Daniel of the Clarksville Police Department responded to a report of an unconscious male in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the Hobby Lobby on Wilma Rudolph Blvd on August 28th just after 5:30 p.m. He observed 34-year-old Nicholas Pietka as being unresponsive and busted out the window to render aid to the man as he remained unconscious. Eventually, Pietka came to, and the officer observed a bag of white powder, believed to be heroin, in the vehicle. Pietka admitted to using drugs the night prior and refused all forms of testing. At the time of his arrest for this incident, he was out on bond for a pending DUI case in June.

John Marihugh charged with 2 a.m. DUI on Madison Street in Clarksville

Clarksville Police Officer Matthew Johnson conducted a traffic stop on a blue Lincoln MKZ just after 2 a.m. on August 29th near the 1900 block of Madison Street. The driver, 36-year-old John Patrick Marihugh, reportedly reeked of alcohol, and when asked how much alcohol he had consumed, he stated “enough” while an open and partially consumed Miller Lite can sat in the driver’s door beside him. Though he agreed to perform field sobriety tests, they had to be stopped for his own safety due to his level of intoxication.

DUI: Brendan Offutt — police find “human booger” on snort straw inside his vehicle

Just after 9 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Dover Road regarding a report of a Buick swerving all over the roadway. Officer Hyatt located the vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Brendan Clark Offutt, which was now on Providence Blvd swerving from side to side. During the subsequent traffic stop, Offutt had extremely slurred speech, so much that most of his words could not be understood. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Inside the car, officers located a rolled-up paper made into a straw with white powder residue inside it and a “human booger” attached to one end.
