Laderrious Carter charged after brutally assaulting girlfriend, sending her to hospital

30-year-old Laderrious Carter was booked for beating up his girlfriend so severely that she ended up in the hospital on December 13th. Police responded to Tennova ER and spoke with Cynthia Lee, who advised that she had gotten into an argument with her ex-boyfriend about infidelity issues. During the argument, Laderrious began hitting her all over her arms and head. Cynthia stated that after the attack, Laderrious struck her in the head with an unknown object that caused a deep gash over her left eye. She added that a week prior, Ladderious punched her in the temple and knocked her out. Laderrious Carter was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault on December 16th.

Laterris Drake caught with over 3 ounces of marijuana in his vehicle

21-year-old Laterris Drake was jailed on December 17th after police observed a vehicle speeding down I-24. The speed was locked at 81 mph in a 70 mph zone. The officer initiated a traffic stop, but the car didn’t stop and drove off at exit 8, throwing a large bag of marijuana and a Glock handgun out the window. The vehicle finally stopped at the QT gas station on Rossview Road, where he was identified by his state ID. During the search of his vehicle, small “nuggets” of marijuana were found throughout the car, and a small baggy of marijuana was found on the ground underneath, where Drake was handcuffed after he exited the vehicle. All the marijuana found, including the bag that was thrown, weighed in at 93 grams/3.30 oz. It was later discovered that Drake was charged with felony drug possession in May 2023. Laterris Drake was taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest, drug possession, possessing a weapon as a felon, and tampering with evidence.

Katodna Brown caught driving unregistered vehicle, tells police she will drive away anyway

24-year-old Katodna Ronquna Brown drove her Chevy Equinox with suspended tags near 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Trenton Road on the afternoon of December 15th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and approached Brown. Brown made statements alluding to knowing about her suspended tags. Brown advised that she was pulled over and cited for the violation earlier in the day. Officers checked her driving history, and it did not show anything besides the prior incident, so they issued her a warning citation. Brown, however, was told that she could not operate the vehicle due to the infraction and became argumentative. Brown then stated she would simply drive away anyway. Officers left the scene, watched Brown pull out right behind them, and initiated another traffic stop for the same infraction on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Katodna Brown was taken into custody for driving an unregistered vehicle.

Sophia Armenti lies to police multiple times about assaulting boyfriend

37-year-old Sophia Armenti was jailed on December 24th after assaulting her boyfriend on Piney Drive. When police arrived on the scene, Armenti and Ryan Taylor both made allegations of assault. Officers noted, “Both parties were at a level of intoxication that would be considered belligerent.” Both parties changed their stories and series of events numerous times. Officers also observed both parties to have similar abrasions and bruises. Armenti stated that Mr. Taylor became upset for an unknown reason and threatened to kill her and her children. She then attempted to leave the living room to check on her children, but Mr. Taylor stopped her and threw her across the room before holding her to the floor and refusing to let her leave. According to Armenti, she finally convinced Mr. Taylor to allow her to use the restroom. Once inside the restroom, she jumped out the window. Police noted that there was no window in the bathroom. She then changed her story and said she left the house when Mr. Taylor went to the restroom.

When police got Mr. Taylor’s side of the story, he said that Armenti became upset for an unknown reason, put herself on the floor, and started to cry. At that point, he tried to leave the house, but she stopped him by shoving him against a wall, trying to hit and scratch him while stating that if he left, she would call the police to get him in trouble. Police noted that Mr. Taylor’s story changed numerous times as well. Police could not determine a singular primary aggressor. Due to both party’s level of intoxication and inability to provide details of the incident, they were both taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Shania Bibby assaults boyfriend after he refuses to watch daughter while she goes to party

23-year-old Shania Bibby was jailed on December 24th for assaulting her boyfriend on Flatrock Road. Travon Hatcher stated Shania was trying to get him in trouble. She wanted him to watch their daughter while she attended a Christmas party, but he refused, so she started pinching his legs while he was holding their child. Travon told Shania to leave, but she refused, so Travon placed the child in her car seat. Shania got angry and started punching him until he grabbed her to stop her. Once Shania calmed down, Travon let her go, and she began yelling again. The arguing woke Travon’s mother, Tequawn Medaris, who came downstairs and told Shania to leave her home. 30-year-old Jonathan Barretta was jailed on December 26th after reports of a driver parked in the parking lot of a smoke shop passing out and waking up numerous times. Police approached the driver of the blue Kia Optima and noticed the engine was running, keys were still in the ignition, and the vehicle smelt like marijuana. When the officers asked Barretta if he was okay, he explained that he was waiting for his wife, who was shopping in the area. Barretta told police that he had gone to the smoke shop to buy a Delta9 vape. Police searched his vehicle and found a THCA diamond preroll wrapper. He admitted to drinking a few hours ago and smoking a vape that he bought. He agreed to perform sobriety tests and showed indicators of being under the influence. Barretta was taken into custody and transported to booking.

25-year-old Tawon Shaw was jailed on December 26th after forcefully pulling down his girlfriend’s undergarments. Police responded to Eagles Nest Lane in response to a violation of Shaw’s conditions of release. Princess Raine advised that she watched her boyfriend of two years pull into her driveway and enter her home with a key he had. She ran upstairs to the bathroom, where he approached her and pulled her sweatpants and undergarments down, exposing her private areas. He continued to pull her pants down, and she believed it was to check if she had been sexually active before his arrival. A search through NCIC showed an active COR, and a warrant for sexual battery was petitioned for. The couple has a previous history of domestic assault as well. Tawon Shaw was taken into custody and charged with three counts of contempt, two counts of aggravated assault, sexual battery, and false imprisonment.

Francine Anciso drunkenly punches boyfriend after accusing him of getting back with ex-wife

42-year-old Francine-Lessette Anciso was jailed after assaulting her boyfriend at their home on Northwood Terrace. Rachod Mildton told officers that on December 21st, Francine was drunk and accused him of trying to get back with his ex-wife. During the argument, Francine punched him in the face. Rachod restrained her at that point by grabbing both her arms and escorting her to the living room, where he left her on the couch. Shortly after, Francine went back into Rachod’s room, started hitting him in the face and stomach, and began strangling him. She also destroyed his cell phone when she threw it in the toilet. Officers observed several abrasions to Rachod’s face and abdomen. Officers spoke with Francine on the phone a few days later. She stated she was drunk and couldn’t remember what happened. When asked if she assaulted her boyfriend, she stated “probably” but wouldn’t elaborate. She stated she had several bruises from that night but couldn’t say how she acquired them. Francine Anciso was charged with aggravated assault and vandalism on December 26th.

Kaylah Hagler slaps husband in neck during argument

23-year-old Kaylah Hagler was involved in a domestic altercation with her husband, Tyler Hyle, at West Allen Griffey Road on December 16th. Law enforcement arrived to see the couple still at the residence. Upon contact with Hyle, he said he argued with Hagler but wasn’t sure what it was about. He stated that the argument escalated to the point where they were yelling in each other’s faces. Hyle told them that it got to the point where Hagler slapped him in his neck, causing visible abrasions. He quickly replied that he never touched his wife during the altercation. Hyle added that his mother-in-law had asked for the phone that she paid for back, so he tossed it to her, unintentionally hitting her. Officers asked the mother-in-law, who was present on the scene if she felt assaulted, and she stated, “No.” Hagler told officers that nothing got physical with her and Hyle. She added that they were yelling in each other’s faces, but she didn’t know what they were arguing about. Hagler was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Aaron Schmidt attempts to stab officer in back during altercation

31-year-old Aaron Schmidt was involved in an altercation with officers at Dunbrook Drive on December 20th. Officers received a shots-fired complaint at the mentioned location. Once they arrived, they made contact with Schmidt, who was holding a shotgun. Officers conducted an investigation and detained Schmidt, but they released him shortly after they completed the investigation. He repeatedly asked the officers for their names and badge numbers before his release. One of the officers gave him their name. Schmidt then asked the officer to take a knife and carve his name into his truck, but the officer declined. Once released, Schmidt grabbed a fixed blade from his truck and began to carve into the side of his truck. Officers were walking to their vehicles when Schmidt made the statement, “I’ll just carve it into your back.” One of the officers then heard Schmidt walking behind him in the gravel, and when he turned around, Schmidt was walking toward him with the blade in his hand. Due to the way that Schmidt was walking toward him, the officer pulled his firearm from his holster and aimed it at him. Schmidt quickly dropped the knife and walked back into his residence. Aaron Schmidt was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.

19-year-old John Harris charged after trying to shoot person at Days Inn

19-year-old John Harris was involved in a shooting at the Days Inn on Highway 76 on December 17th. Officers received a call from a complainant that they heard a gunshot in the parking lot and that he saw two black males and females leave in a red vehicle. Officers arrived on the scene and found a 9mm shell casing in the parking lot in front of a room. Officers were informed by hotel staff that the room belonged to John Harris. Surveillance footage shows Harris pointing a pistol at a black male’s face and body and then shooting at the male’s feet. The video also showed that during the shooting, there were other bystanders nearby. Officers made contact with Harris at his residence on Kendrick Street. Harris told them that he had gotten into a verbal altercation with a friend and fired the shot in self-defense. John Harris was taken into custody and charged with reckless endangerment on December 20th.

DUI: Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar found drunk and aggressive in Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru

25-year-old Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar was seen drunk in a Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru on Dover Crossing Road in the early morning of December 20th. The caller advised law enforcement that Mendoza-Aguilar was intoxicated and acting hostile towards them. While officers arrived, Mendoza-Aguilar left in a blue Nissan and turned north toward Fort Campbell Boulevard. Officers saw the vehicle, followed it, and conducted a traffic stop. When officers came into contact with Mendoza-Aguilar, they observed that he was inebriated. He was very aggressive and refused to leave his vehicle but later complied. Once Mendoza-Aguilar exited the car, he told them he was returning from the troubled Electric Cowboy. Mendoza-Aguilar said he had consumed two beers there before driving. He was shortly asked to perform some field sobriety tests, which were executed poorly. Cesar Mendoza-Aguilar was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

43-year-old Lakeisha Randolph was involved in an altercation with her daughter at Tynewood Drive on December 21st. The altercation began when Randolph and her daughter got into an argument. Aaron Fletcher charged after leading police on high-speed chase

26-year-old Aaron Fletcher was jailed after police observed him speeding down Donna Drive on December 13th. Fletcher also failed to stop at a stop sign, and police attempted a traffic stop on his silver 2016 Chrysler 200. Fletcher sped off, initiating a high-speed chase. Fletcher weaved in and out of traffic and ran multiple red lights from Donna Road to Park Lane, where he came to a complete stop. Fletcher then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The car door was left open, and deputies saw a clear baggie containing marijuana in plain sight. Next to that was a wallet containing Fletcher’s Driver’s License, which was suspended. Fletcher was arrested five days later, on December 18th.
