35-year-old Monica Reames was jailed on July 29th after her roommate, Kara McAfee, reported she had been assaulted at their home on Broadripple Drive. Reames told police that she had been living with McAfee for three months and wanted to move out, which caused an argument. She stated that she did not assault McAfee, but she did slap her cell phone out of her hands. McAfee added that she was also pushed. Reames was taken into custody and searched. During the search, officers located a cut straw, burnt tin foil, and approximately .5 grams of fentanyl.

Kadaijia Wing passes out from drug use with children in the vehicle with her

24-year-old Kadaijia Wing was jailed on July 9th after officers responded to a welfare check at Trice Landing Park to find her and Joseph Black passed out in a vehicle with children inside. There was a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old who is also autistic. Kadaijia woke up, and officers asked why her vehicle smelled like marijuana, to which she replied that someone smoked in her car earlier. During a probable cause search, police located four cut straws which are usually associated with ingesting narcotics, a pack of cigarillos, less than .5 grams of cocaine, and less than 14.175 grams of marijuana, well within reach of the children. DCS was contacted, and Joseph and Kadaijia were taken into custody and transported to Clarksville Police Department so DCS could conduct their investigation.

Ryan Rushton charged with drug possession in Walmart parking lot

25-year-old Ryan Rushton was jailed last week after police responded to a welfare check in the parking lot of Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard. An Anonymous caller stated that there was a man falling over and appeared to be on drugs. When police arrived, Rushton was on his hands and knees, pulling grass out of the ground. The officer stood in front of him, but he didn’t notice and appeared to be falling asleep on his hands and knees. He woke up distraught and consented to a search. The officer discovered a clear plastic case that contained a very distinct “corner baggie” The officer explained “corner baggies” are often used to store small amounts of illicit substances. Right next to Rushton, in a shopping cart, was a headphone case; inside the headphone case was a cut straw and a “corner baggie” of fentanyl weighing less than 0.5 grams.

Cristian Espindola-Vizcaya charged with DUI after crash on Holly Pt

Police say 20-year-old Cristian Espindola-Vizcaya wrecked his vehicle on Holly Pt in Clarksville on May 27. Responding officers say he reeked of marijuana, and he admitted to smoking prior to driving. He appeared to be visibly under the influence of a drug. Inside the vehicle, officers also found a small amount of marijuana and a cut straw with white powder residue. He was transported to Sango ER for a blood draw and then to booking.

51-year-old Melissa Ledbetter overdosed on Heroin on May 26th, and her boyfriend called 911 for help as he found her on her bed. Medics arrived, and she was treated for the overdose. Clarksville Police arrived and searched the immediate area, finding cut straws and a syringe with reside, though it was not enough to be tested. After her medical treatment was concluded and she was released, Clarksville Police Officer Alan Greenman charged her with possession of drug paraphernalia, and she was taken into custody.

Corey Wiist found passed out from Fentanyl at gas pump in Clarksville

33-year-old Corey Wiist was jailed on April 9th after falling asleep behind the wheel of his truck at the Marathon Gas Station on Ashland City Road. Police responded to pump four and banged on the driver’s side window several times to wake Wiist up. When he finally woke, his eyes were glossy, and he had pinpoint pupils. Officers asked to search his truck and if there was anything illegal inside, to which he stated, “There shouldn’t be.” While other officers were searching his vehicle, He agreed to sobriety testing and performed satisfactorily.

Fentanyl wrapped in tin foil was found in the center console, along with two cut straws with residue. It was later discovered that Wiist had no active driver’s license, as it was revoked in 2017. He was then arrested, and more fentanyl was found, this time wrapped in lottery tickets in his wallet. Mr. Wisst admitted to the substances being fentanyl and using it earlier that morning.

Cheyenne Seefeldt charged with felony marijuana possession – $20K bond

19-year-old Cheyenne Seefeldt was a passenger in a car with three others on March 19 when an officer made a traffic stop after observing the car traveling at 43 mph in a 20 mph zone on Donna Drie. During the traffic stop that followed, officers said they could smell marijuana, and a search of the vehicle was conducted. A felony amount of marijuana was discovered, along with digital scales and sandwich bags. No one in the car claimed the drugs, so all four were charged using constructive possession. Damon Williams, father of seven, jailed after 173 grams of methamphetamine found in home

32-year-old Damon ‘Donke’ Williams was jailed on Mar 10th after a drug bust at his home on Caldwell Lane. The task force searched Williams’ home, where a woman and six of his seven children were present during the raid. Officers located different narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia items in Williams’ home and vehicle, including 173 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1.7 grams of crack cocaine. There were 72 grams of a green leafy substance that tested positive for both marijuana and meth. To confirm, the green leafy substance was tested multiple times with different test kits. The paraphernalia items include digital scales, baggies, rolling papers, and blunt buster spray.

THP Trooper Brian Glenn conducted a traffic stop and immediately noticed his bloodshot eyes and a scale in the floorboard. Shamburger volunteered 4.4 grams of marijuana to the Trooper and said he keeps the scale so he doesn’t get scammed when buying it. Not knowing when to shut up, Shamburger told the Trooper that he had just quit smoking today, but prior to today, he “would smoke three times a day, in the morning, lunch break, and after work, and rolls approximately .5 grams of marijuana into black and mild cigars and smokes them.”

29-year-old Emily Sharp & 33-year-old Mary Orange had reportedly been sitting in a vehicle at a gas pump for hours when police received a call for a welfare check for two women that were sleeping in the car. The complainant had knocked on the windows but received no response. Officers arrived, and eventually, the two women became aware of their surroundings. Sharp had a used syringe on her lap, which contained heroin. Orange had a cut straw on her. Adam Welch eats marijuana during traffic stop on Riverside Drive in Clarksville

Police say 34-year-old Adam Welch was driving for an extended period of time on the center lane on Riverside Drive just after 2 p.m. on January 11 and almost caused an accident with another vehicle. Officers initiated a traffic stop, and Welch produced a revoked driver’s license. Officers ordered him out of the vehicle and noticed green shake on his pants leg. It was quickly realized he had attempted to swallow marijuana. A search of his mouth was conducted, and there was marijuana in his mouth, which was retrieved, and a pack of cigarillos was located inside the vehicle. He was out on bond for two other incidents at the time of his arrest, both of which conditions prohibit him from possessing any controlled substances.

Bryce Hirkala tosses drugs into water after crashing BMW while on state probation

21-year-old Bryce Carl Hirkala was arrested Monday around midnight. Officers responding to a wreck at Little Hope Rd and Hwy 76 were told by a witness that the driver of the black BMW involved in the wreck was seen throwing a backpack into the water before authorities arrived on the scene. Bryce Hirkala was identified as the driver of the black BMW, and officers did recover a backpack from the water, which contained marijuana and drug-related paraphernalia, including a rolling tray and cigarillos. More marijuana and drug-related paraphernalia was found in the vehicle after being searched. He was arrested and transported to Montgomery County Jail for booking.

In August 2022, Hirkala was given judicial diversion on two felony drug charges and was placed on state probation.

Eddie Hampton charged after family spat with brother, petty police make arrest

When Clarksville Police Officer Daniel Smith responded to a family squabble Tuesday evening, he would eventually charge 19-year-old Eddie Mark Hampton with underage drinking, possession of a cigarillo, possession of less than 0.5 oz of marijuana, and domestic assault. The reason for the call? Eddie was reportedly arguing with his brother, Ethan Hampton, and “shoved him.” according to a police report. Ethan then pushed him to the ground and out the door of the residence.

Officers located Eddie just down the street and took him into custody for the assault. During the arrest, they located the tiniest amount of marijuana and a cigarillo. Eddie says his brother tackled him, but he did not remember shoving his brother. He says his family gave him the alcohol he was drinking, and the family says he brought it with him to the house.

Kayla Meives charged after using drugs in Sonic stall with young daughter in vehicle

35-year-old Kayla Jo Meives faces child abuse/neglect and drug paraphernalia charges after Clarksville Police were notified she was nodding off while parked in a Sonic stall for over ten minutes with a 7-year-old child in the vehicle. As Officer Andrew Ramirez approached the driver’s side of her vehicle, he noticed she was holding a dollar bill with white powder/residue on it. She quickly stuffed it into her purse before stepping out of the Kia Sorento and admitted it was “more than a dollar bill.” Inside the vehicle, multiple dollar bills with drug residue were found, and a field test on them returned as positive for Fentanyl.
