20-year-old Christopher Lopez signed a statement, admitting to embezzling over $8000 from the Edmonson Ferry Dollar General store in Clarksville. The manager of the location first began the investigation after noticing a loss of $200 – $300 each day Lopez worked. Lopez admitted to stealing cash and cards over the past five months, for a total theft of $8,320.

James Blackwell accidentally confesses to a crime the police had no idea he committed

Clarksville Police Department Detective Elijah Horton contacted 32-year-old James Blackwell to request he come to the Special Victim’s Unit office for an interview, which ended up being unrelated to this current case. During the interview, Blackwell expressed he believed he was there because of his involvement with a 16-year-old girl. He gave consent for his phone to be searched, and a text message from the child victim with five attached nude images was retrieved, along with his reply desiring to arrange to have sex with her. He is charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The other investigation is ongoing.

Dustin Keatts charged with domestic assault; girlfriend says he tossed beer cans at her during river float

Mickey Head met with deputies who responded to Run-a-Muck Outfitters on Port Royal Road Saturday evening after she had been floating down the river with her boyfriend, 26-year-old Dustin Keatts. Head tells deputies she was assaulted by her boyfriend on the river “because he threw beer cans and bottles at her while floating down the river”, and she stated this placed her in “imminent fear” so she called her mother to come to pick her up. Keatts denies any such assault happened and states they did have an argument, but it was only verbal.

Nicholas Zunich makes pit stop to leave party drugs with MCSD on way to Bonnaroo

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Devin Burkhart pulled over a vehicle for “traffic violations” on I-24 on its way to Bonnaroo Tuesday. 22-year-old Nicholas Zunich was a passenger, and Burkhard says he found probable cause to search the vehicle, which resulted in him finding a bag in the hatch containing 3 bags labeled as “half-ounce flower”, a bag of ketamine, a bag of cocaine, and a bag of MDMA. Zunich claimed the bag as his property.

Dena Evans charged after grabbing her fiance by the balls, injuring his scrotum

Clarksville Police responded to Parkway Place apartments on June 14th and met with Joe Wesley, who explained his 50-year-old fiancee, Dena Evans, grabbed his balls during an argument, leaving a laceration on his scrotum. When questioned, Evans initially stated she grabbed him, then stated she kicked him in the groin, then eventually wanted to recant all of her statements and claimed nothing occurred.

Drunk Soldier John Shields jumps over Strawberry Alley bar & makes his own drink

Clarksville Police say 32-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier John H. Shields jumped over the bar at Strawberry Alley Ale Works in #DowntownClarksville, poured himself a drink, drank it, and left the business. As Officer Renken arrived at the restaurant, he unknowingly observed Shields in his vehicle but didn’t yet know he was the person in question. When Shields saw the officer arrive, he turned off the ignition and walked away on foot.

Shields was walking around the building when management pointed him out to the officer, who attempted to get him an Uber back home. Shields could barely walk or stand, and eventually it was determined he was even too drunk for a rideshare and he was placed into custody for public intoxication.

Robert Ray Hampton charged with kneeing brother-in-law in stomach during argument

25-year-old Robert Hampton was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant charging him with domestic assault from June 8th. Police initially responded to Market Street and met with Hampton’s brother-in-law, Rocky Williams, who stated the two were in a physical altercation over a “family issue.” Hampton reportedly threw a soda can on the ground in his rage and kneed Mr. Williams in the bottom of his stomach before fleeing the scene on foot.

Seth Williams fights with THP Trooper during DUI stop, refuses to be arrested

THP Trooper Michael Hickmon made contact with 23-year-old Seth Thomas Williams near the Dover Walmart Neighborhood Market, after observing him having trouble keeping his vehicle between the line on the road. When asked why he was swerving, Thomas insisted he was not and began to walk away. After being informed he was detained due to smelling of alcohol and suspected impaired driving, Williams refused to stop walking away from the Trooper, who was initially only able to cuff one wrist successfully. Williams was taken to the ground, where he continued to resist arrest and grabbed onto the Trooper’s wrist, refusing to release it.

After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody and charged with DUI 2nd, resisting arrest, and assault on an officer

Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department Special Operations Homicide Unit have charged 44-year-old Toni Camia with Aggravated Child Abuse/Neglect/Endangerment of a child less than eight years old and First Degree Murder in perpetration/attempt to perpetrate a crime for the death of 5-month-old Angel Stanford, and she is jailed in lieu of a $300,000 bond.

Teen charged with theft of vehicle with keys left inside — Kerry Brown

On June 10th at 11:30 pm, a citizen reported that his white 2016 Ford F150 was stolen from the driveway of his residence off Tiny Town Rd. The victim stated that the spare key was inside the vehicle. Officer Binkley with the Clarksville Police Department took the report and approximately 45 minutes later, he notice a white Ford F150 traveling down Tiny Town Rd. and pulled into the Publix parking lot. After verifying that it was the victim’s vehicle, Binkley attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver, 19-year-old Kerry Tyrone Brown refused to stop and sped away. Officer Binkley saw that the truck pull into the Taco Bell parking lot near the Publix and attempted to run away, but after a short foot chase, Brown was caught and arrested. Kerry Brown has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and evading arrest.

Jonathan Arnold free on $500 bond after he used Apple Airtag to stalk his ex-girlfriend; per police

Shanai Jett says her ex-boyfriend, 31-year-old Jonathan Arnold, has been randomly showing up at locations when he should not have any reason to know where she’d be at those exact times. She walked out of a Rafferty’s after having dinner with her daughters on June 7th to find him parked next to her car, waiting for her. On the 8th, he appeared at Dunbar Cave State Park while she was there, and later that day at a playground she was visiting.

Jett told police she located an Apple Airtag on her vehicle, and believes that’s how Arnold was locating her. When interviewed, Arnold stated he just happens to be driving by and notices her vehicle as an explanation for each occurrence.

31-year-old Nicolas Blair is charged with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Carly Day, after she says she was trying to leave the residence following an argument and states he held her against her will, pushing her against a vehicle and throwing her to the ground. Deputies arrived to find the victim with debris on her arms. The couple had reportedly just returned from a concert in Nashville before the argument began. Soldier Cooper Sheffer discharges gun in apartment, misses neighbor’s head by inches

21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Cooper Sheffer was booked into the Montgomery County Jail this week after his firearm was discharged from inside his apartment, causing a bullet to pass through the wall of his apartment and into his neighbor’s residence, which was occupied. A female victim in the neighboring apartment was in the living room at the time of the gunshot, which came through the wall approximately 8-10 inches from where she was sitting. Sheffer says he “accidentally bumped the trigger” while cleaning the firearm.

Phil Rolniak charged with assault of roommate with Red Bull over household chores

Clarksville Police responded to Naples court Monday evening after Victor Asuguo called 911 to report his roommate, 29-year-old Phillip Rolniak, threw a can of Red Bull at him, with some of the drink splashing in his face, during an argument over household chores. Phil Rolniak admitted to throwing the can but stated it was at the ground, not at his roommate.

21-year-old Hooters waitress Adrieona Washington was jailed this week on an outstanding felony vandalism warrant from May 27th, after she vandalized a 2014 Chevy Impala belonging to her boyfriend, Nikia Robinson. She showed up at his location just after 1 p.m. and was standing beside his car when she called and told him to look outside. He immediately saw her standing beside his car, holding a butcher knife. She proceeded to slash 3 of the tires on his car, and carved “I LOVE YOU” into the trunk.

Trista Gatson grabs brass knucks, swings at her daughter, gets pepper-sprayed in return

Clarksville Police say 36-year-old Trista Gatson was in an argument with her daughter, Taliah, when she took out a pair of pink brass knuckles, placed them on her hand, and began to swing at her daughter. The attempts never made contact with the victim, but the daughter says she was in immediate fear, and pepper-strayed her mother in self-defense. When officers arrived, Trista stated she didn’t even own any brass knuckles, however, a quick search located them in her bag.
